Loudy I think it's funny that someone bagging another on their language skills or lack thereof thinks that the opposite of yes is.....now.

But that's just me.

Ps this entire thread is a waste of even the internets time

The RL players that can handle themselves in front of a camera are at a big advantage for decent employment after they retire.

If you can play the toughest team sport on the planet at the highest level and still manage to speak well, then you on the road to success!

On the other hand, the commentators also need to know how to ask the questions. Sometimes they just say something that cannot be answered:

Q: "You started of well, but then dropped off in the second half and let the game slip out."

Besides : "Yes", how do you answer that in a way that it makes sense?

He's from Bowraville, what do you expect.

It maybe time to consider a "US college" type of competition for 18-21 yrs olds before they enter the NRL. An educated person is able to present themselves much more professionally and is far less likely to cause any "off field incidents".

Totally.

not all players can be articulate and intelligent. Not all will have the self confidence to stand in front of a camera (I've done it a few times and its bl0dy nerve wracking!). What they should do is make sure those that can't, don't! Clubs and the game should have a select number of players with the skills to handle the camera and trot them out for interviews, shows etc.

Pretty sure he's doing or was doing a law degree so not surprising.

He's a forward. Forwards are usually the worst. He knew what to say before he went out there and other than a stumble on the word momentum a couple of times he produced a flawless display.

I'm sure others can go in with a few pre rehearsed sentences.

I think the NRL.. or clubs in general need to look at there players
in regards to Public Speaking.
Some guys in the past.. Dally M's or on NRL on Fox etc etc..
just are terrible at being interviewed. Very few are decent.
I find this very embarrassing at times.. I think to the point
where clubs need to have in place a public speaking program
just to teach these morons how to communicate.

While this bloke has a gig in the media with AFL shows, there is hope

I do agree though, should be simple enough (GI should never be let lose in front of a camera and microphone, more grunts than breathing)
