Weidler is a first-class muck-raker.
Two pissed-up footballers have a row at 6:00am!! The horror! It's the end of civilisation, I tells yer!

Mind you, if Rava was involved it's a pity he wouldn't bring something approaching that aggression onto the field with him, rather than walking around for 80 minutes looking like he's wondering where he left his keys.
Our club has a discipline and culture issue until it's fixed we won't be playing semi finals football

In isolation it's not a big deal really. Apparently no-one in the squad got on with Darius Boyd back in 2010 and I recall Darren Treacy getting into fisticuffs with either Andrew Hart or Wayne Bartrim back in 99... we still managed successful seasons.

But

When considered as part of a growing trend or pattern of shitty behaviour and poor culture within the club.. it is concerning. In addition to that: the fact that we bought a bog average player like Zane Musgrove - who has a rap sheet as long as your arm filled with assault charges, domestic violence and property damage - into this culture was just a mistake waiting to happen

Musgrove may not be Haas but was our best prop on the weekend... only one to bend the line, says volumes for our front row stocks

It's a good point. If you were trying to improve the culture, it must be pretty bad if you think Zane Musgrove will improve things.

That said, this whole incident reminds me a lot of two male wildebeests butting heads on the discovery channel. Once they figure out where they both fit in the herd, that's the end of it. Hope it's the same for our boys.

Blowing off steam after the sauna in Mudgee is not unreasonable. Still being up at 6.00am the next morning when you are representing your club, is. That's where this club and many other clubs before them (most famously the Bulldogs) have fallen down. The Fooball Manager should have been on duty and made sure everyone was back in their rooms no later than 2.00am- no excuses.

To pissed to remember, you are a professional athlete, you are supposed to be a role model. They showed Vaughan the door now get rid of Rava. The club is a second rate unprofessional rabble. Promises the world gives us an atlas.
we are in for a worse season that I believed. Too drunk to remember? with the start of the season proper 2 weeks away? What are senior management and the head coach thinking allowing a marathon drinking session now? OMG even back in my day we liked a beer or 2 after a game but if anyone got plastered they were dropped for the following game. You can't have behaviour like this we have kids who idolise our 1st graders especially Rav. The coach should be shown the door today, does he believe allowing players to get so drunk is going to fix our discipline and cultural issues? Personally I think not. Bloody disgraceful.

Time for some humour. A friend of mine was watching the charity shield on Saturday night in a pub in the city and cheering for the Wabbits. A bloke comes up to her and says are you a wabbits supporter and she says yes. Quick as flash he says open your mouth and give me a look. She does and he says no you are not you have all your teeth. True story

Mate. As much as I hate piss heads, the bloke did nothing illegal. The look of getting pissed as a fart and acting like a gala after a loss isn’t too good. But you can’t say the bloke should be fired for this.

I agree, but really it's the club's call. They know the bloke best. They'll know (or they ought to know) whether he is a perennial offender or if it's a one-off and unlikely to happen again. Didn't the club say they had a three strike policy when they got rid of Paul Vaughan?

We use to have a saying on the change shed door " The standard you walk past is the standard you accept". So if we are happy to accept our players getting drunk every time they lose a game this season then the only people that are going to be happy are the breweries. We need to draw a line somewhere, our club and teams discipline and culture is toxic and our on field performances over the last 10 seasons speak for itself
