Don't tell them a thing. Let them find out on their own accord.

If it's your prerogative to be a friend, just sublty try and break them up without anyone knowing. I can't stand people who deliberately/intentionally stick their noses in other peoples business without being asked.

Not that I have ever been in this position before though... ;-)
