The bottom line, like Moltzen we are stuck with him, we can not offload them if no one is willing to take over their contracts or at least a fair chunk of their contracts.

If we pay out their contracts and let them go, their contract value is still deducted from the salary cap for the duration of the contract, so their is nothing gained.

I still think Lawrence is far from a lost cause and his form slump is a result of the team playing busted, especially Sheens parting gift to us--Anasta.

If Potter can get some go forward happening again things might become a little better. Although hard to see where it is going to come from as this team has been getting progressively worse as the weeks roll on

Bullshit
He was looking likely to be an Origin and international center for years to come, early all his game lacked was his D which rectified in time.

He had benji?

Well...it is a team game, someone has to pass him the f**ken ball

Two weeks later he pops a hip

Lol I did say "I" as in my opinion , and you are all quite welcome to see if I had a hard on for him then yeah .. but tell me all the great gifts he had at the time .. ??

alternatively, i can't see anyone hating the decision....

Fair enough but I always thought he was very limited in his game . And as ive said above , by all means find something back in my history that proves ive thought otherwise... . Im pretty sure I wont be embarrassed.

By the way , who passes to Merrit and Boyd ?? The skill of running untouched to the line can be breathtaking.

I'm sure you won't either.

But the context behind bumping this thread was a bit silly

It's a tragedy but Lawrence is now a washed up old hack. He has lost all his explosion off the mark and all of his speed. When players lose that they need to alter their game accordingly, unfortunately Lawrence has never had any footwork or subtle skills to his game, which now leaves him with nothing. The best he can do now is fall over the line when he's put through a half gap.

I don't usually subscribe to the "he's too slow for the centres now so chuck him in the backrow". But Lawrence could be a candidate for it. His body shape dictates that he'll continue to bulk up. He's naturally strong and runs a good line. He could potentially be a really decent backrower.

We get a discount for him too I believe (either this year or next) for the loyalty thingy, so that makes him a bit cheaper again.

He is still young enough to develop the skills of a back rower. He could bulk up a bit more...I only wish he had a motor like Watmough. Watmough ain't the biggest back rower out there but he can play above his weight.

It was a learning curve that we can't sign young players on long term lucrative deals...no matter how amazing their potential is........oh wait a second

He tries really hard but I think he is an incomplete player at this point. He has too many mistakes in him.

Maybe he is a little like Blair in that when everyone else is doing their job really well he fits in great but when it falls a part a little he is right amongst the players f**king up.

No acceleration, no speed, bad defensive reads, terrible hands. What the hell happened to him? He could of been anything a few years ago!
