Hey I ain't the selectors, but I would bet money he will play.

That side is based on deduction it is not what I would pick.

What the fugg has Newton done all year? Glenn Stewart should have been there, hell id even say that Corey Paterson should be there before Newton.
Corey Paterson is a WA junior. A South Perth one specifically. He only went across to the Knights a year or two ago. I don't know if the rules would bend for such cases, but I would think if Queensland can have Adrian Lam (from PNG), Tonie Carroll (NZ), ect, then I would assume Corey could nominate himself as a New South Welshman and therefore be allowed to play City-Country (probably Country given the first club he played for in NSW was -and is- Newcastle).

Fair enough, but his Aus selection was on the BS loyalty policy, which hopefully NSW selectors will have no thought of following

Maybe cooper/grothe wont picked because they already know they are going to be in the NSW side

they wouldve picked them for Thursday if they were considered for NSW.

They also played for Australia last week. No-one who played in that test (from NSW) was selected for either Country or City. One would imagine Danny Buderus would not only be the NSW hooker but the captain too, so if the players were dead-set in the NSW team and not included in the Country-City game, then one would also say Bedsy wouldn't be in Thursday's game.

But Cooper/Grothe didnt play in the test. Buderus is almost a definite for NSW, but hes still playing for Country.

Grothe doesnt deserve it anyway IMO. Not playing that great.

Cooper wasn't considered due to the concussion he suffered on Wednesday. Cooper will be in the centres for NSW you can put your house on it. Not sure about Grothe.

Reece Williams is replacing Reni Maitua, who is out with a hip injury. Williams goes onto the bench, Paul Gallen shifts to lock and Anthony Watmough starts in the second row.

7 Sharks representing. Not suprised that 5 of them are forwards. They've really been carving up teams this year...Good on em...

Reece Williams? The same bloke who let Nathan Merritt and Peter Cusack stroll through untouched in Rd3?

Seven players from the Sharks? They are 7th. Souths are 5th and have no-one. Disgraceful.
