Even Hooper knows that Flanagan is the right man for the job
Nuh, this idiot should have written nothing re Saints new coach , rather he should be writing an article on how Phil Goose screwed up by sacking Trent Barrett and appointing a future dud, he is trying to derail St George appointment of Flanagan, so the dogs can snare Hunt.

Hooper is a goose, is and always will be, I turn off any show he appears on. His knowledge of the game and reporting skills show how bad the reporters are today on our great game they wouldnt have survived in years gone by.....RIP Peter Frilingos !!

Sorry mate I always read your posts with interest but not sure of the continual push for Des didnt he FINALLY come out and say he wasnt interested in the Dragons HC role ? Maybe I have it wrong but that is what he said in an interview I saw.

Thanks.

You could be right.

Until the big reveal, never say never.

During my apprenticeship here, I’ve learned that anything can happen at the Dragons!

But if I’m Des, I’m Gold Coast bound to get an unsackable Ricky Stuart style retirement gig.

Can't really remember much of Peter, I think he wrote an article about Saints becoming super club again when merging with Illawarra (Juniors/ Nursery)calling them the Steel Dragons.
Unfortunately the 2 most successful clubs on paper since then have been the Rorters and News LTD Storm.

These gentlemen have this opportunity to correct the wrongs of the previous years , by voting for Flanagan a premiership winning coach , who knows exactly what is required to get a team firing once again and within a period of time , having that team playing as true premiership contenders.

Enough of the ‘ favourite sons ‘ of the Dragons returning to the den to take up what is their first NRL 1st grade team . We have been through it before and enough is enough , only a truly experienced and knowledgeable 1st grade coach will pull this team out of the mire .

Flanagan must be announced tomorrow - with daylight second .

Successful Clubs look for these type of coaches.
Pep Guardiola is a 52 year-old manager from Spain who is currently in charge of Manchester City. Pep Guardiola has a win percentage of 72.92% across their coaching career thus far.
Check out online what this man has achieved as far as titles.

This is St George Illawarra Dragons Super Coaches
Andrew Farrar 43%
Steve Price 36%
Paul McGregor 46%
Dean Young 33% Had our best player in Ben Hunt playing Hooker, real smart coaching.
Anthony Griffin 38% Probably the Roster @ the Panthers made him look good.
Nathan Brown 53%-Did Okay, but had a great roster should have won at least 1 premiership
David Waite 56% Made 2 GFs, They got rid of him, for Farrar what a Joke.
Wayne Bennett 65%, 2.5 great years.

So in the last 24 years as Saints fans we've experienced at total of 6 good years, what a f**king disgrace by this so called Nuffing of BOD.

SIGN SHANE FLANAGAN AND LET HIM DO HIS JOB!!!

This twitter thread is wild. Pretty much states Doust & Piggott have hijacked the coaching appointment to ensure their own jobs & those of their mates are safe.
Based on this Twitter thread, doesn’t matter who they decide on as coach, it will be a roadblock if Haran & Millward stick around.
1st job should be get rid of them both as they are cancerous to the welfare & future of the club.

I now fear a rookie coach will be another ten lost years. But we still need to argue for Des over all o th ers. Des is the better coach.

And a history lesson. The begining of the end, was the end of the beginning.

Hooper says they will bauk because someone bought out a scathing article in the nick of time and the powerful Gus retweeted it. (surprise surprise). The media love making us out to be that shallow and fickle.
They dont do that with any other club
Buzz says they wont.
Believe what you want as it is all fish & chip paper (if you print the article out)
It wont be DY
But here is a thought. Canvass the sponsors for their opinion before they vote if they are that worried about Flanno..well the ones we have left anyway
And what happens if the 8 BOD cant agree on anyone. Keep Carr. Wont be the end of the world!.. I think
I’m astounded that the NRL allows the GM of an NRL club to be employed by the media as we see with Gould and channel 9. The fact that he is allowed to publicly comment on the administration of our club and possibly undermine the selection process of our new coach is mind boggling. This just highlights how amateur the NRL administration can be at times. I wish Gould would just P$SS OFF

My optimism is only surpassed by my pessimism in the subject.
I feel the strain of negativity in our recent history is far too strong and the dictators in place will continue to stamp their authorial ways for nothing more than their own agenda.
Currently that same recent history is a prime example of the accumulated actins of this said dictatorship.
It is clear the last 12 year (since 2010 comp win) absolutely no lessons have been learnt by this dictatorship for the betterment of our club and the long stout history of the Red V and the actions of these men (players) who drew blood for our beloved club.
I’ve heard commentators who herald from other club who question our reliance on our history and we hang onto it.
My reply. - We are St. George and now Illawarra and YOU will only every dream of having a history like ours.
Our problems are out weakest link.
And our weakest link. Our short sighted suppressive management - who has a clear history catalogued in their actions and their determined ways.
