Cold

people getting colds very much has a lot to do with the weather. It's no coincidence that doctors surgerys are packed with people coughing everywhere during these months. It's the time when all the influenza bugs make a big appearance.

Yes it is indeed a virus, however, in winter it is colder, thus making our body temperatures lower which in turn lowers our immune systems which makes us more prone to bugs. Our body temp is very tightly regulated so if our temp lowers just a few tenths of a degree to below 36 degrees we become vulnerable.

Then I had a kid. My kid goes to daycare and brings home every single sniffle. If we aren't puking or pissing out our arses then we have a cold.
this is me also. first winter of daycare was a nightmare for both my kids

Interesting read

Feeling off with a bit of a tummy bug yesterday.... I went to the gym anyway.

Doing bench, 90kg on the bar - got the first one up fine.... dropped the second one on myself. Had to do the (very embarrassing) yell for help.

Felt pretty awful so thought I should cut it short.... spewed everywhere on the way out. Went home instead of work.... and spent all day within 10 feet of the loo.

Feel fine now, but my wife is off with the same thing today.

Probably just me, but whenever I have myself a little cold, I normally bust out a hard run that leaves me pretty much dead at the end, have a shower and hit the bed. Wake up feeling pretty damn good.
