Urgh. These endings always give me the sh*ts, where they just run down the clock. Congrats to the Steelers. They are going to have to learn to maintain that early intensity though. They dominated at the start.

Wow, after a dominant start, we really made things difficult for ourselves. Hopefully we can start the Superbowl the way we started this game...and to finish it the way we started this one, too.

Jets' defense really didn't do much favours, didn't put enough pressure on Big Ben and also flushed him to his right, which he is exceptionally good at throwing while on the run.

Either way I think (and hope) GB has this SB because the Steelers were pretty average in the 2nd half.

It is one thing I do dislike about American Football.

Well done the steelers won it in the first half, but geez three knees just spoils the game IMO. Not have a go at the steelers any team would do this, having a go at the rules.

Simple hand-offs would achieve the same thing. It is always going to be an issue in games where there is no contest for the ball during plays.

The fumble/pass call on Sanchez was a tough one. Could've gone either way.

Yeah were a couple of tough calls I thought, but I'm not as familiar with the technical rules as I probably should be to start complaining about it. The attempted block on the Steelers punt on the 4th down that ended in a penalty for them didn't seem right. In any case I'm not going to complain about it because I don't back either team, or any team in the NFL really. Just watch the games then cheer for whoever is least likely to win at the Superbowl.

I am not suggesting they do that at all.

But if taking a knee was removed then the next most simple solution would be applied and the same frustration would creep in.

It's simply a product of the rules. No big deal, but something that has to be explained at the end of a fair few games when you watch the game with people who are not familiar.

Nothing tough about it, the ball went backwards, don't even know why they checked it.

I thought the pass had commenced. If the rule is as simple as whether the ball went forwards at all, regardless of the QB's arm movement then I have to agree with you.

Pick a better excuse to go for the Packers, they were average for at least a quarter longer than the Steelers today.

If they had deemed it a pass it wouldn't matter because it went backwards. Backward pass basically equals a free for all once it hits the ground.

But he was trying to pass forward.

In any case, the ball never traveled forward at all once it left his hand.

Well in a situation like that the play before when they got the first down was do or die for the Jets which makes it an exciting play.

Also knowing that a team can just run out the clock after the 2 minute warning if you don't have your time outs left is just another part of the strategy of the game.
