One thing I noticed reading the last few pages, there a hell of a lot of guys signing after the season finished.

Time to have a signing window when the NRL season is completed. Not only does it keep us the fans happy, it fills newspaper columns with all the speculation.

You may be able to stop inter-NRL signings, but not Super League. If a player wants to go to Super League I don't think a club or the NRL would want to go to an international court to stop it taking place.

http://www.sunweekly.com.au/news/local/sport/rugby-league/corrigan-signs-with-rabbitohs/1357765.aspx

THE Entrance's 2007 Jim Beam Cup rugby league grand final hero Shaune Corrigan has signed a one-year deal with the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Corrigan, 21, of Bateau Bay, scored three tries in the Tigers' 30-20 win against the Sydney Bulls at the Sydney Football Stadium in the 2007 season decider and his sparkling performance caught the attention of several NRL clubs.

Penrith and North Queensland are understood to have also expressed an interest in the tall, speedy centre but last season he played with North Sydney in the NSW Cup premier league competition and South Sydney was the Bears' feeder club.

Souths snapped up the young flier and he is now training five days a week with the Rabbitohs top 25 players squad under the watchful eye of coach Jason Taylor.

"It's a fairly full-on routine at the moment as I'm travelling almost daily to Sydney by train but I expect that I'll find accommodation in the Souths area with some of my team-mates soon," he said.

"At present 'JT' [coach Jason Taylor] is working on the basics with the squad and making sure we're all on the same wavelength.

"Jason has made the new players feel welcome at Souths and I'm glad to be playing with a club with such a proud history and culture."

Corrigan has realised a lifelong ambition to be contracted to an NRL club after a rugby league apprenticeship with The Entrance stretching from the under-six age division to the Jim Beam Cup competition, when he was named the Tigers' Rookie of the Year in 2007.

The Entrance head coach Jamy Forbes said Corrigan works hard on his game and has the talent to make the grade at the top level.

"He'll add plenty of speed to the Souths outside backs and Shaune is a sensible, level-headed young player who will make a fine recruit for the Rabbitohs."

Corrigan said his aim is to try to consolidate a first grade spot, either on the centre or the wing.

But he is intent on not rushing things.

I wouldn't go that far, but he definitely needs more time to mature. He never really lived up to the (admittedly small) hype thats surrounded him, his few opportunities in FG for the Cows were unimpressive. No great loss.

He thought that his small hype would transfer to respect on the footy field and it didnt.
He was big mouthed and arrogant while at the pride and vented on fellow players because he thought he was an NRL player.
Qld cup player at best

where did you hear about kenny edwards? he is still listed on manly site.

Kenny Edwards, Kevin Proctor, Sam Joe, Joe Tomane - hell Storm might have lost plenty of talent but they have some of the best young talent wanting to come to the club and obviously on the cheap.

I watched Edwards in the maori tournament - he is a bit of a beast - plays with plenty of agression.

I heard Storm signed Hep Cahil from Newtown jets - he played in the NSW Cup final and for the maori.

Wairangi Koopu wont see much FG with all these young guns.
