He won't be charged with murder, manslaughter worst.

We need to find out the whole story before making assumptions. It could be a case of a typical mouth, kind of like most of you soft merkins, starting a fight? Or Field could have started trouble. We don't know until we get all the facts, but by all means don't let that stop any of you rodents from regurgitating whatever the tabloids say..

Tell us more, tough guy...

LOL I know that's the law but still f**king stupid.

It was the same with Malcolm Naden earlier this year. He gets arrested and his face is being blurred. Too bad his face was being splashed all over the news for months dipshits.

happened with Baden-Clay too

FMD, you need to write a 100 page novel on why and how you're going to knock someone off before a murder charge is handed down in our pathetic courts. I agree with you re. not knowing what happened, but if you clock someone you are going out there to do damage and you have to deal with whatever consequences come your way. Like the poor bloke from the highlands who got killed in the cross last week-the scum that did it wanted to do serious damage and murdered him.

Give over, that dude sounded like he was high on meth and not in control of his
faculties.

Are you seriously suggesting that there are not different degrees of murder?

I don't give a f*ck what he was in control of, he chose to take the meth didn't he?

There are definitely degrees, what I find confusing is how to determine intent. And the sentencing system!

don't be so quick to discount the possibility of a murder charge. Given that there has been two instances of alcohol violence causing death in the last week alone, the DPP might actually run a murder case against Field. Bearing in mind that he was already going to be charged with GBH before the victim died, a conviction for murder is certainly not beyond the realm of possibility.

It'll be interesting to see O'Farrell's reaction to this though...

It's not so much the tabloids spouting shit. The tabloids spout their shit based on the press releases made by the manure ingesting and swallowing f**kwits at police media who like to start the conviction and sub-judice usually before someone appears in court for the first time. The media release basically states `Craig Field punched a bloke and he died'. Any jurors minds have been poisoned (or at least those who read a media site, watch the news, have google etc etc etc).

Of course the low prick cops don't release any information when they taser some bloke who stole a packet of sao's because `there is a full ongoing investigation'. Cops are by and large lying turds (watch 4 corners for the story on that Adam fella from Lakemba).

ACAC, I'd rather my kid grow up to play AFL and join the KKK rather than be a cop

lol, that's some cold-hearted shit lad.

10/10 for your trolling efforts.

It isn't cold hearted. There can be one or the other. Either the public respects the
privacy of others or these kinds of events will be more common. I happen to interested
in this kind of thing and spend money happily to be a member of the NSW Council
for Civil Liberties.

I'm sorry the guy died. It could just as easily have been Benji accidentally killing the
idiot mouthing off at him.

People's paths to becoming drug addicts is not straight forward, and to suggest it is so is
ridiculous.

Determining intent is obviously incredibly difficult, which is why zero tolerance is not the
answer, for which you sound like an advocate.

Jesus you are a dipsh*t. So anyone invading a "sport's stars" (Craig Field? LOL) privacy deserves to be murdered. FMD...

A question for you David Middleton-types out there:

Is this the first time a current or former NRL player has appeared in court on a murder charge?

Taking guesses here.
Barney someone from Souths in the twenties
Les Mara
I'm sure there may have been one other from 60's.

Fair enough. I don't know why you'd give your money to those wood ducks, though. You may want to become a member of Civil Liberties Australia. They carry a lot more weight if civil liberties interest you and the publications are better.

They have to prove that Field wanted to kill him, not just do damage. I agree we need harsher punishments but I would rather see a rehabilitation system that works, not just throw people in prison to make them worse.

Pedo's should be shot on sight though lol.
