It was a serious question McSharkie, from someone who's put forward a sound reason why I don't believe he deserves his opinion.

You seem to think he deserves a go and the only logic you've come up with is he's a good bloke so I just would like to know what it would take for you to change your mind.

Gow was OK but I think it's a bit rich to put all our eggs in his basket right now, particularly when the chances of him returning are minimal

I have only met the bloke on 4 occasions and he was simply a really nice bloke. I have heard from others that he is a genuinely nice bloke. Obviously has been caught out by the judge there so being dishonest is a terrible thing. It doesn't seem to effect his morale though.

Anyway, the only way I would vote for someone else is if there is a better alternative. Simple as that.

Just about anything is a better alternative to Barry also i am certain that Gow will eventually take the reins the question is when and will he support and let somebody represent him in the meantime then take it over in 2007, or will he just wait till 2008 to run. He will take one more shot at the job unless of course a new board gets in and they work wonders, however its not likely at all, so you can rest assured Mr Gow will be back, his even stated it in the media. Unless an opposing ticket is organised soon they'll be unopposed for this year thats for sure. The challenge is out there for Gow to get something going cos it wont come from anywhere else.

Gow's group hypothetically of course would detail a better financial outline for the club. Is that what's paramount for you McSharkie? a good financial plan and maybe a better structure cos clearly they have done little regard the team and other areas.

Surely finance is what matters most. If we are stable financially then we are stable in the shire. They also have to appoint the staff don't they? That's second important thing and I'll agree that they have made mistakes in that regard. Like you say though, we will have no alternative so what's the point.

I've met Bazza before. He really did seem like a nice bloke. He signed my flag ( I didn't ask him too #-o )

I guess he must change behind closed doors or something.

Barrys signature on a flag - A grade sharks keepsake
barrys a nice bloke!!!!!!!!!!

Who cares?? Financially, if we are doing okay then no worries, but under 10,000 fans at a saturday nnight game and i expect the same this week, well you dont have to be a genius to join the dots on that one. He might be a nice bloke and attempted to lay the blame on ando for last years fiasco but his days are numbered. If there was ever a time for Gow to make his prescence felt it is now, it should be an interesting few months ahead.

No one ever goes to the Cowboys games

i expect the same this week

I reckon there might be a few more this week

his days are numbered
I reckon he's got more clout than ever now

If there was ever a time for Gow to make his prescence felt it is now

Gow is banned from serving on a board for a few more years yet I believe

SS, I have no doubts that the crowd will be better this week.

After all, Shark Park is a mere 2.5 hour drive from Canberra.

So yeah, we will have a bigger crowd, but they will all be wearing green.

In days gone by, a Saturday night game (even against 'lowly' or unpopular teams) drew huge crowds of SHARKS fans, not away supporters. And, the games held in the milder months like April, were always a real going concern. And if there were 9000 people there on Saturday night, then I'll eat my hat. It would have been lucky if it was 5000.

Ahhh, those were the days when we had a halfway decent marketing team. Anyone care to remember who was at the helm of the club at that time???
