Maybe souffs should go back to Redfern Oval? Souffs at homebush is an embarressment to the game.

Redfern holds about 5K these days , has undercover seating for about 2.5K
its not up to NRL standard so they won't be going back there

& how bout Manly fans practice what they preach & get to games too
I know a few of theirs have been affected by rain
but Manly is barely averaging 10K at Brookie ...for a side going as well as the eagles ... thats hardly boasting material
stop bagging souths ... they are a joke & we all know it , & get to the games yourselves.

ummmmm..... hello :?

I've been bagging their pityful turnouts all year
last night was a disgrace
QLD teams this year have let the code down badly

the Titans have a sort of excuse in that they're on the bottom of the ladder
the Broncos & Cowboys are in or near the top 4
crowds of 13K for the Cows ... & 30K for the broncos are just not good enough
not by some stretch :x

The last 3 years has seen the big 5 sydney clubs improve their averages or in the case of the dogs steady around the 18-21k mark. While the Titans and Cowboys have plummeted. We would push an average of 17k if they got their game in order.

At least as a plus for Souths next week, is their Perth match actually appears to be selling quite strongly.

On the Eastern side of the ground all of the E1 - E13 is sold out on the lower tier, and they are now selling into EE1 and EE14 on that second tier. Pretty sure the Western side is down to just singles.

In the Try Zone S2-S7 are pretty much sold out.

Should mean they are sitting on 12-14K odd already with a week to go. It will at least look a lot better on TV than last nights match.

Thier has been 13 NRL games played at ANZ Stadium this season. Six by Souths, five by the Bulldogs and two by Parramatta.

The Bulldogs average 25,393, Parramatta 26,420 and Souths 14,683. The overall average for the 13 games is 20,608.

The biggest crowd has been 30,687 when Parramatta played the Bulldogs in R.6. The Bulldogs have only once failed to reach a crowd of 20,000 and that crowd was 19,830.

Souths biggest crowd wa2 22,771 when they played the Dragons in R.6. They have faailed to reach 10,000 in two of their home games this year.

So for me the problem is not playing at ANZ, but more how the team is performing.

The highest ANZ crowd this year was Bulldogs vs Dragons which got 34,322.

Announced on Fox Sports that they had pre-sold 19,000 for the game, considering it is fine conditions and the wind has died down, hopefully will mean a few thousand walk up on top of that pre-sale and that the members turn up in numbers.

Be good to see Newcastle crowds return to previous marks with a good ground again and potential on-field improvement. That extra 10K a round would help boost our numbers.

8,000 in an 80,000+ stadium looks embarrasing. Game was on at the club last night and a mate who isnt a RL fan had a laugh about it.
Not a good look at all seeing a stadium at ~10% capacity.

Thats what the NRL and the TV bosses need to address because it looks bad on the sport.

Well nice crowd for both Cowboys and Knights but Newcastle looked cold and wet ?

It's cold but not wet.

A little dissapointed with the crowd to be honest, I did expect more considering we were both on the fringe of the top 8.

Though the crowd did get fired up in the second half. They were chanting 'bullshit' quite a bit.
