I'm not sure what round 2 weather had got to do with the 2 games mentioned..
Im talking about Sharks Vs Dragons, round 2. The rain was so bad Shark Park was virtually empty for a local derby match.

Interesting thing on page 23 of today's Herald
"Ever wondered which team is more popular in their home city - Storm or Swans? On Sunday Storm vs Tigers was broadcast live to Melbourne and got 86K viewers while Swans vs Carlton was broadcast live to Sydney and got 85K. In the 5 capitals Storm vs Tigers had an audience of 558K and Swans vs Carlton 386K" (This doesn't include the strong league audiences in country NSW and Qld).

Part of the AFL's TV deal is compulsory live FTA in Sydney (where it usually gets beaten by Iron Chef) - the league should consider a similar deal in its negotiations.

Theres been solid crowds for MNF this past few weeks, hopefully the reopening of WIN will have folk heading in numbers.

Souffs V Brisbane 16k
Tigers V Doggies 17k
Titans V Sharkies 11k
Canberra V Parra 10k
Knights V Chooks 20k
Peno V Cowgirls 12.5k
Warriors V Storm 13k

How is Perth selling? I remember last year was only 13k which was disappointing

There was 12000 at that game.

I can tell you right now. 12000 might have been the official number. But Between FT at Toyota & kick off. A LOT of people left shark park. I was one of them, but as i used my pass i was counted.
That night was absolutely shocking, My ex gave me shit for weeks for even attempting to go to that game.

Should have f**king stayed. :(

Way overestimating the dragons game unfortunately.

14-16k for a Monday night. Would have been capacity on a Sunday arvo

Saints game and the reopening of the ground has been getting pumped all week on Radio down here, every hour nearly during the day.

So many unknown variables with this saints manly game. as parraeels just said game has been plugged up to the max in the media. But a Monday night in the gong?

looking at the ticketek website, only the lower section of the new Western stand will be open for this game
Probably puts the capacity of the ground around 15k

19k
The bottom tier will hold only a few hundred less than the old stand did
