and brisbane ...... worse again
which is essentially what I've been saying

they are frauds ;-)

you've debunked the per captia argument in your head & maybe a few of your bronco apologits mates heads

but thats it
Brisbane league fans ... & SE Qld League fans in general need to pull their fingers out

end of

What's that Raiderbolt? The consistently highest drawing team in the league needs to have its fans pull their fingers out?

If that's the case, what do some of those teams down south need to do? Pull out their entire arms, I expect.

Raiderdope returns to tell us why a crowd in the 30000s is bad. Perhaps we should through the Broncs out of the NRL. They are clearly underperforming.

because the broncos are the only NRL side in a city with a population of 2 million

based on what other smaller centres attract or the 9... count em ... 9 sides in sydney get to their games
its not great

its not even good ;-)

Raiderbolt, you are just like the real Andrew Bolt. Gave it to your per capita logic before, and as cowardly as the NSW team is on the field, you have just dodged the question behind the keyboard.

Intellectually, you are not even good. What's that term you use?

Ah, yes: pathetic! :D

Going back 10 years to compare Penrith and Parramatta is geniused, must look at recent years to gauge where a team is at

Penrith had 6 home crowds under 10k in 2012 and 1 thus far in 2013
Parramatta had 1 home crowd under 10k in 2012 and 0 thus far in 2013

Penrith pwned by Matt Keating

We really need to compare this Penrith team to Parra in the Stu Galbraith or Tulsen Tollett eras for a fair comparison

Statistically Sydneysiders are far more likely to attend an NRL game than people of Brisbane. No matter how you want to spin your numbers this remains a fact.

So we're back to all of Sydney statistic now, not suburbs or municipalities or streets?

You guys and your shifting sands... lose on one argument, ignore, change argument. Wash and repeat.

I mean when will you lot be as passionate about your club
as we are about ours down here ?

;-)

Who could doubt the passion of the 9715 fans who watched the Tigers and the Panthers go head to head out west? Crowd numbers that other teams(*) could only drool over.

(*) Well, basketball teams.

That's because we have to sit through watching the Broncos whereas you have 9 "home" teams to chose from

You can either compare regions on a per capita basis or compare Sydney and Brisbane as wholes, you can't do a little of each to suit your agenda. On both counts, Sydney outperforms Brisbane.

15K at Brookie from a 250k population is about 6% of the population attending.
30k at Suncorp from a 2.1mill population is less than 1.5% of the population attending.

If you don't want to compare regions then you MUST count the total number of people attending Sydney matches over a given weekend against the same for Brisbane.

And just so I am not accused of dodging the topic like Raiderbolt, can you share your statistics as to the number of unique spectators to NRL matches in Sydney and Brisbane annually?

If not, then this is just another Andrew Bolt fact. ie. fiction.

Well firechild, you and Raiderbolt need to fight that one out. He says that I can't count the whole of Sydney.

15K at Brookie from a 250k population is about 6% of the population attending.
30k at Suncorp from a 2.1mill population is less than 1.5% of the population attending.

Happy to do this point at a time. Could you tell me, first of all, the boundaries of this area with 2.1 million people in it that are all supposed to be going to Broncos games?

And secondly, if you want to demonstrate how poor 30k is (not that Brisbane have gone that low yet this season), perhaps you could answer the Millionaire's Conundrum that so vexes Raiderbolt. Would you rather be one of a million people earning one dollar, or the one person in a million earning a million dollars? Per capita, they are both the same.
