Well that had a chance to have fans from north Sydney chatswood to wyong

But turned it down.

Northern eagles would be bigger than south's if they persisted

With Nine controlling match of the round and all Broncos games on Fridays, crowds are never going to be what we expect or what these games deserve. Post 2017 the match of the round should return to Sundays and the Broncos need a lot more Saturday/arvo games, Brisbanites are sick of Friday night games

Yet they would get 30K on a Sunday afternoon. That is the point. The NRL can't complain fans stay at home- Friday night is a horror night for crowds in Sydney. So what if it is delayed...GET TO THE GAME!:crazy:

Do they complain about this much? Clubs complain about it, sections of the media complain about it, and other fans do too. NRL probably doesn't yield much from hammering the fans over the method they choose for viewing the game.

Like plenty of International Sporting competitions do around the world (i.e. MLS, NBA etc), the NRL should adopt an Eastern & Western conference. 8 teams in each conference, play each other team in the conference twice in a season, then the top 4 from each conference vs. each other come finals time.

SYDNEY Conference
- Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs
- Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks
- Manly-Warringah Sea-Eagles
- Sydney Roosters
- South Sydney Rabbitohs
- Parramatta Eels
- Penrith Moylans
- Wests Tigers

QLD, MELBOURNE, NEW ZEALAND & GREATER NSW Conference
- St. George Illawarra Dragons
- Canberra Raiders
- Brisbane Broncos
- Gold Goast Titans
- Melbourne Storm
- North Queensland Cowboys
- Newcastle Knights
- New Zealand Warriors

Same amount of games each weekend, yet the season goes for less time. It's a brilliant idea.

For such as a hard sport there a goldilocks mentality. Oh it's on night won't show up even though its 1st vs 2nd. Even games at clear sunny sunday afternoon still empty seats due to endless excuses. It be damning of the 'heartland' of league to have its 1 vs 2 out drawn by a Cowboys game the same week.
