The Wests-Parra blockbuster is looking like less of a blockbuster with each passing week. Not gunna get 50k if they stay on their current mediocre form.

What blockbuster? The Tigers and Eels don't play each other again this season. The Tigers still have 2 matches against the Dogs to come though.

Crowd has certainly built at he gong since kickoff. It bad effort for a Monday night. Would still be good to see that new grandstand packed out

I couldn't be bothered tonight. Was down there on Saturday and it was freezing in the win. f**k it on a Monday night. Even with free tickets wasn't worth the hour in a car each way.

After a disastrous start I think this year's average is about 150 ahead of the similar period last year.

good crowd considering Monday night and the weather, easily the coldest game ive been to in the gong for years. The roads to and from sydney to the gong were dead as obviously, but no complaints here.

Yeh anything in the 5 digits for a Monday night especially during the middle of winter should be considered a good crowd.

The difference in the codes, one day maybe the NRL will be run for the fans.

The AFL's Sunday night experiment is dead and buried, with 10,000 missing fans proving the last nail in the coffin. The league reacted quickly on Monday after a crowd of only 40,936 turned up for the Collingwood-Carlton game the night before.
"The impact on attendance does not justify moving matches into this new timeslot and the AFL remains committed to attendances at the ground as critical to our game," league chief executive Gillon McLachlan said in a statement.

Fans eventually learn to like new timeslots.
Were TV ratings down for that slot?

Then again, Sunday night might have been a poor timeslot

They were missing about 40k fans to this fixture, that is why they say Monday nights is not working. The NRL does not have %50 of its base missing for Monday night footy so it is not as damaging as it is for the AFL.
