The AFL starts next week, so absolutely crazy not to have a Storm home game this Saturday night.
Going to be nice and warm - would have drawn 20K+

Do you understand what an average is?

Yes. Happy it explain it to you any time.

In short, try this.

On the 3rd of February, John Citizen ate a hotdog.

On the 24th of February, John entered a hotdog eating competition, and ate 27.

On average, he ate one hotdog a day for the month.

However, he does not eat one hotdog everyday. In fact he rarely eats them.

Do you understand now the difference between an "average" and what actually happens?

The turnout for these first two games at ANZ have been atrocious. The NRL need to face facts that the fans hate that f**king stadium, or more specifically, the monumental effort required to actually get there.

They tried to do the BENJI BARBA return to Dogs home ground thing.... didn't work.

It's a shame that it didn't, because Barba showed up the Dogs almost single handedly.

Poor crowds, kinda expected though. TV experience is too good these days, every sport is trying to find ways to get bums on seats.

As a Dragons supporter I won't comment until we get past tomorrow's game. The NRL will be praying like mad that the weather holds out until about 5pm tomorrow afternoon or it could be another terrible crowd number.

Mistake #1- too many game in sydney on one weekend. seriously what were they thinking! for neutrals interested in going to a game, the pool has been divided in 7 were 4 games would have been more appropriate.

Mistake #2- wrong ground wrong night for those 2 teams on thursday.

Mistake #3- Thursday and even friday night kickoff after 8pm is ridiculous. Thursday in particular would have turned families off a fixture which imo is normally very well attended by families.

I now expect the whole round to be thoroughly embarrassing. Sunday at ANZ will probably be 20k if we are lucky. Cronulla v gold coast to cap it off on MNF thats asking for trouble, lucky if that draws 8k and if it rains 5k is more likely!

The NRL is in a shit position

Imagine if the first two games were at Redfern oval and Belmore

The headlines would read

NRL is off to fantastic start with 2 sold out games

Interest is at an all time high in NRL 14 with crowd averages of over 22,000

Up almost 5k per game on last years average

Whilst TV figures have also been very strong

The greatest game of all is going from strength to strength

How's this for a left field idea? the Broncos as the stadiums main tenants, arrange to have it as available?

As far as I know there wasn't anything on there last night anyway?
