Yeah, Ray said it was short of 15k at the SFS. No crowd ticker came up though on the screen, and couldn't hear the ground announcer saying the official crowd.

Sick of the excuses, it's a gf rematch and they couldn't crack 15k, it's pathetic and embarrassing and there's no other way to spin it.

Can't believe just over 10,000 at Wollongong. This should have had a big crowd esp with Dragons great start to season. It was an entertaining game but atmosphere on TV was flat. No wonder they are looking at playing games at ANZ cos they ain't growing down at the Gong.

crowds are doing okay.

hope Dave smith has some ideas for the mid season lull. If we can just stop those sub 8k fixtures from happening much, if at all, we will be on track for 16.5k average before the finals, and then finish up at around 17-17.5k

to be honest, im wondering where the hell the THIRTY THREE THOUSAND who showed up for WCC against a bloody english team (very few domestic fans compared to manly or souths) have all gone???

same with the sell out tournament in auckland, i know this doesnt correspond to australian crowds but i was hoping for strong crowds over there. maybe we'll see some tomorrow in wellington

Sick of the shit weather excuses. Warriors got just as much in a cyclone as Roosters-Manly can get when 'it looked ready to piss down all day'. Boo hoo. SFS has covered seats.

I agree it just appears weak to me. If it is extraordinary weather like a cyclone or am absolute deluge then fair enough the hardcore will only likely turn up but to stay at home because it rained the day before and the sly looked threatening is sad and soft.

The gong crowd shocked me I thought with the form of both sides 15k easy. Todaya crowds should all be around 20k to save the round

The spin has got to stop.
Two games less than 25 thousand to two of the biggest blockbusters in Sydney.

Time for the NRL to stop this nonsense and start merging and chopping Sydney teams and open up the game to the rest of Australia.
We have cities of 5 million people where the game can expand. Why are we persevering with Sydney who obviously have turned their back on the game.
Manly brawls, Roosters buying a comp, now the Dogs also trying to buy a comp is all coming back to haunt the code. Badly run clubs with their beaks forever open looking for handouts, bailouts, owing tens of millions of dollars in bad debts, how much longer before the NRL acts on this badly run comp, where players are simply making a mockery and walking into union while thumbing their noses at the code, and the media helping them sink in the boot.
We can have this for another 5 years until the death of the code, or we can bloody well damm change and do something about it.

Manly to change their name to North Coast Bears, Sharks to Wellington, Roosters or Bunnies to Queensland and start breaking up the Sydney monopoly which cant grow, and is now offically going backwards.

Clearly you have NO IDEA about the NRL. You name three of the most successful Sydney clubs as candidates to break up? lol. You think Manly fans will start going for North Coast Bears? You think Rabbitohs or Roosters fans are going to support a relocated team?

NRL start attacking Sydney teams and they lose their fan base
