Has Sironen had a full off season yet where he's trained as a back rower?

The problem we have is that he has the mindest of a half in a back rowers body.

I'd seriously consider making him a centre.

He should have been at centre yesterday and Bodene should have been left in the second row.

If he catches that early Austin ball for an easy try it's a total different game IMO

I know these are spilt milk type posts but early yesterday Pat Richards got the ball in space and I couldn't help but think Koro would have been away for a try...anyway, it is what it is.

Richards seems to be getting slower as the season progresses. Maybe his injury is still giving him some grief ?

A groin injury will do that. Given the track record with our rehab department, I'll bet he's playing injured.

Charlatan, you touch on something I continually bitch to my mates about. Our rehab and conditioning in general would, I'd suggest, be one of the worst in the NRL. Someone else mentioned it recently that we get hurt more than any other team...questions need to be asked why?

A lot of different factors.

Unbalanced training routines
Poor depth meaning some players have to push themselves to play more minutes - tired muscles get damaged easiest and quickest.
Poor identification of injuries
Poor injury management
Poor injury prevention exercises
Not enough rest time
Poor diet

I've said elsewhere that the $8m advance should be poured directly into the high performance and rehab units. I'd like to see some stats on how many injuries we sustain per year, average lay off per injury, and how many players sustain recurring injuries. It's probably no worse than other teams but it just seems like we are always missing one or two key players every week. We don't even start the season at full strength.

What gets my blood boiling is they say "he has suffered a one week injury" only to be missing for six. They are off the field too long compared to other teams. I might be wrong here but it seems to take an eternity for WT players to get over some injuries...

That's quite a decent number of players we're drawing on year on year, averaging on 30. Was there any significant change in personnel in the HPU/rehab departments between 2012 and 2013, or did Sheens start making voodoo dolls?

Sirro has been surviving on his size, potential and surname for some time. The kid has potential he is just not first grade material yet. He doesn't hit the line hard enough or hit at all hard in defence. His head is not in the game at the moment errors, missed tackles. He has hit a wall and regressing.

It's all bad luck...yeah f**king right.

Injuries are bad luck. You can't do that much to stop them.

What else can be changed ? I'm serious in that I don't know. I'm starting to feel Potter has to go even though I like him and he speaks well.

If Potter doesn't go there must be some other changes. That effort tonight was one of the worst that I have seen.

As for Sirro I think I'm still prepared to stick with him for a while longer but he has to do more. In saying that so does every player.

He was diabolical,he really struggles in every department,as mentioned before he plays more like his mum than dad.
He needs to be dropped so as to improve his game in the backrow or cut altogether.
