I'm going to be at the Storm game in Round 20, so if history prevails then that will be a win (seen 3 Warriors games in Wellington for 3 losses, seen 2 Warriors games at Mt Smart for 2 wins).

How about I put money on the opponents to win each game, that shall also guarantee wins from our boys (as I never win money from betting on Warriors games!!!)

No slip ups allowed if we are to make the 8. I'm not a doubter, but I see us just missing out. If we continue to play like this though, we should breeze in.

We're hanging on by a fine thread, the run is much tougher than it looks despite being "only two points out of the top 8". We could just as easily end up somewhere near the bottom.

How to insert a table - done some analysis...

Could well be 30 points required to make the top 8 this year

Reply to thread. Under Additional Options go to Attach Files and in Manage Attachments tell it what type of table it is.
If that doesn't work ask Ozbash.

vvvrulz, tableized sure makes a pretty table online but then in here just HTML code:

<style type="text/css">
table.tableizer-table {
border: 1px solid #CCC; font-family: <?php echo $tableFont ?>;
font-size: 11px;
}
.tableizer-table td {
padding: 4px;
margin: 3px;
border: 1px solid #ccc;
}
.tableizer-table th {
background-color: #104E8B;
color: #FFF;
font-weight: bold;
}
</style><table class="tableizer-table">
<tr class="tableizer-firstrow"><th></th><th>Sea Eagles</th><th>Bulldogs</th><th>Sharks</th><th>Knights</th><th>Panthers</th><th>Titans</th><th>Raiders</th><th>Warriors</th></tr>
<tr><td>Home Games</td><td>4</td><td>3</td><td>4</td><td>4</td><td>4</td><td>3</td><td>5</td><td>4</td></tr>
<tr><td> v Top 3</td><td>2</td><td>1</td><td>2</td><td>2</td><td>1</td><td>3</td><td>2</td><td>1</td></tr>
<tr><td> v Middle 8</td><td>4</td><td>3</td><td>3</td><td>2</td><td>5</td><td>3</td><td>4</td><td>5</td></tr>
<tr><td> v Bottom 5</td><td>2</td><td>3</td><td>2</td><td>4</td><td>2</td><td>2</td><td>2</td><td>1</td></tr>
</table>

Might need special HTML posting permissions.
Either that or this forum disables certain HTML tags like the <table> ones but enables some of the other basic ones.

Got a basic table working below.

You surround the word "table" with [ and ] characters instead of < >
Using table="head" gives you a header row.
Insert the header row in the same line as the opening table tag.
Insert each new row as a new line under that
Separate each column using "|"

Matches Remaining|Expected Result
Warriors vs Storm|Warriors by 20
Warriors vs Penrith|Warriors by 40
Cronulla vs Warriors|Warriors by 4

Example here
Not sure how it will go with custom styles etc, but its a start.

Eels no help to our cause, Raiders pushed us into 11th.
Points diff definitely means we need 30 points.

So 5 from 7 needed.

Rd20: Storm, home, Sunday 12pm aest
Rd21: Sharks, home, Saturday 3pm aest
Rd22: Manly, away, Sunday 2pm aest
Rd23: Panthers, home, Sunday 2pm aest
Rd24: Titans, away, Saturday, 5:30pm aest
Rd25: Raiders, home, Saturday 3pm aest
Rd26: Dragons, away, Saturday 3pm aest

Still depends on other results.

At the moment if we only win our home games, and all other results see the favourite (based on ladder position at time of game) winning, then we'll still come 8th regardless of points differential.
However, that scenario sees Panthers (2/7), Raiders (1/7) & Titans (3/8) having a fair few losses and finishing 2 or 4 points behind us, where they'd likely jump us (margins dependent, but they would in my 1pt victory scenarios) if they won an extra 1 or 2 games.

On the other hand, can get some outlandish (or are they!?) scenarios where the cutoff is 34 points (depends on a number of unlikely results though), with 6 teams finishing on 34.

Some key non-Warriors games coming up involving "logjam" teams (our R21-R25 games are all teams near us so those ALL key) :
Panthers v Knights & Eagles v Titans tomorrow, Sharks v Panthers R20, Sharks v Knights R22, Bulldogs v Titans R22, Raiders v Bulldogs R23, Bulldogs v Panthers R25, Eagles v Panthers R26, Raiders v Sharks R26.

So in conclusion, still mathematical even with a couple of losses :D

EDIT : after having another play there's still a few ways we can come first on 34 points, but that relies on many, many unlikely results (including us not losing any, and Rabbitohs/Roosters/Storm losing all bar the ones where they play each other). Hey, the thread title says "dream", right?!

We need to really thrash at least two of those teams (Panthers and Dragons I'm thinking).
Otherwise its going to be a very nervous finish.

"Winning ugly" is very nice but it just won't do anymore.

Thanks for the html advice. Beyond my attention span and capabilities though. My talents must lie elsewhere...somewhere

If we win five out of seven we will be in the top eight comfortably (on 30 points). If we win 4, then probably okay (28 pts). Still don't think points diff will come into it. At least our chances are in our hands still.
