Guys,

I know this evening Guru will be joining this thread at 7pm. I don't know how long he can stay on for however.

I also know that Robert Gare (Bobby) will be joining this thread as well. He is one of the candidates running on the 3P ticket with Guru. All the guys are more than happy to be open and upfront and answer everyones questions. We believe it is a good idea to let everyone ask us questions since that current courtesy is not being provided by the current board of directors.

On a personal note, thank you to everyone for giving me the opportunity over the last couple of days and not going ballistic on me for anything. Highly appreciated. I know the other guys are looking forward to going live with you all as well. If I don't talk again, I look forward to seeing you all next Sunday 14th December on voting day. Come at 9am for the sausage sizzle. Be good.

Regards,

Col Green.

Hey Colin, Bob Gare here. I have just spent 20 minutes typing a post and lost it. For all the mighty Parra supporters if they like I have a little bit of time before my kids arrive for the trad/ sunday roast.

Bob,

Your alright, if you get stuck on anything, give me a buzz on my mobile. If no-one gets any questions through before you have to go, just log on when you next get a chance. Hope you have a good night, and see you at the next meeting.

Regards,

Col.

I will introduce myself. I spent 27 years in the cops. before I retired i was one of 3 senior Sergeant in charge of a squad of 27 providing both proactive and covert policing to the Parramatta CBD. In 1996 I was elected to the board of OUR club where I saw the volumn of work it takes to run the mightly Eels. The people on the 3P ticket are ready with some great new ideas.
In 1997 with my wife we started a family business in the importing and exporting of motor vehicle accessories. Over the next 7 years the business greq too large for a husband/wife operation and in 2004 we sold it. That business is still in operation.
I thought it timely that I introduce my self as one of the canditates and will answer you questions to the best of my ability.

Several other points:
I do not have any issues with any of the current board some of whom I worked with during my time on that board of 1996.
I truly believe that fresh ideas are needed to make some real changes to our club, not just change for change sake.
Our ticket comes to you with 3 legends and 4 other candidates from fabulous backgrounds. Everybody in the 3p team are confident in our approach. Terry Leabeater is one of the most articulate guys I have ever met and his counsel along with the rest of the extended team is invaluable.

Newmanj,

We don't want to make anything personal, not against our own team-mates and not against the current board. I've know John for about 7 years now and he does bring alot of strengths to the board. It is hard to judge someone until you finally know them. I am happy to give John a ring and see if he can join this thread as well. I just got off the phone to Guru and he will be on here shortly.

Regards,

Col.

Hi Bob, thanks for coming on. Do you think the running of the club has evolved much since you were last on the board?

I do know John.

I know Bobby Gare, Sid Kelly, Graham Malouf, and i was actually heavily involved with the NPT team, of which the aforementioned were all integral members 12 years ago. Those 3 guys are the salt of the earth, loyal, passionate, knowledgeable men, who i have tremendous respect for. Graham is a lifelong friend. I do however, have a problem with the other one.

Hey Mick yeah I am sure the operations of our club as it stands now is very different in light of the fact that the leagues club has the NRL licence.

True :D

No I was just thinking in terms of you having been there before... were being run to your 'satisfaction' back then, has the board not moved with the times, or is it something else that makes you personally want to get back in the saddle?

The Guru,
Besides passion for the club what else do you bring with you and why should you be elected next Sunday?

At the 2001 football club an extraordinary motion was passed to take control of our first grade squad (NRL) to the Leagues Club. My understanding was that the leagues administration (the board) at the time said they could not guarantee leagues club funding to the football club.
