Is there a point arguing BA's fate? He is signed till 2022, so regardless of whether he should be replaced is kind of irrelevant.

For me he needs to make some tough calls next year on his assistants and recruit players who will make us better, he won't be sacked for next year but his decisions will decide whether he is moved on after 2022.
Well, he needs to talk to trolley boy for a start.

You are correct but he is in charge of identifying needs and telling those in charge of recruitment to get them for him.
That's not even necessarily true. The whole point of having a football department is to maintain consistency of football operations through coaching changes. The same recruitment committee also deals with retention. They're all responsible for deciding where we'll get the most improvement for our money.
My point was that he needs to identify the changes needed, regardless of who actually goes and gets them.
I'm sure the recruitment/retention buck will stop with someone, but I'm not convinced it will be the coach.

No more contract extensions for Arthur. He got one this year.

It's Grand Final or else now. He's not going to be fired straight after being given an extension. So he's got the duration of this extension to get it done.

Board are mad if they extend his contract again without a title or at least a GF appearance to show for it.

I don’t think he will last for 2022. Next year will be his last.

On the other side of the coin

We make or even win the GF next year, then an extension?
Along with the spine?

I think BA would like to be at Parra till retirement age. So really next year is a huge one, for him and Moses also.

We do need to bring in some fresh blood and energy for next year. We wont improve too much with just Opacic

Its interesting to see what happens next year.

Should there be a no COVID interruptions, it'll be totally different.

My concern is whether he'll get the players back into gear and whether they'll still be mentally hurt from their 2020 exit.

I don't mind if the clubs re-signs him or goes with Toovey or Green.

Just don't sign the next up n coming guy. It's a lottery and I don't want a Pay, Kearney or Jason Taylor thanks. But but FitzGibbon or Ryles are next in line. No thanks.
