Its interesting to see what happens next year.

Should there be a no COVID interruptions, it'll be totally different.

My concern is whether he'll get the players back into gear and whether they'll still be mentally hurt from their 2020 exit.
BA thought it was fixable before the finals, yet we saw the same mistakes. Everyone has aN end date, even Bennett had it with the Broncos and I think Bellamy knows his is coming too which is why there is talk about retirement even though he obviously has plenty more to offer. The difference is these coach’s have won something whilst our guy has a wooden spoon and the worst finals record of any coach still coaching.

What will help is bring in some new players to freshen up the squad and bring energy

Hope we make some announcements before pre season training

We already have got Opacic.

Love to snab John Asiata, who can play in the middle and has ton of skill (can play 5/8th)

Wont happen, but assuming Jenko is gonski. Nabbing someone like Staggs (he was close to Seibold, and may want to leave?)

Pearce and Moses swap im not keen on

Already some potential changes in the coaching roles from what I am hearing. Not necessarily a change in key personnel, but one person is likely to get an expanded role and there is talk about increasing the number of "part-time" specialist coaches we use.

Jenko stays on our books, we keep paying him and he maintains a spot in the Top 30 until he is officlally banned.

Personally believe a change in the asst coaches would be of significant benefit , new voices for the players , new ideas for the head coach to listen to and a refresh within the system and culture. Loyalty can get you so far,it can also get you on a very short leash

A change in the roles of some assistant coaches probably achieves the same outcome.

Don’t think so, they have been at the club for up to 7 years, it’s an opportunity to refresh completely and not change the deck chairs . Understand they are both really nice guys, but continuing with them is a false dawn.

Assuming we only have 2 assistant coaches isnt the correct assumption mate.
Ryan Carr says hello.

We need people within that group who are capable of higher positions. I wonder how assistants like Ciraldo or Barrett would have gone. Neil Henry, etc. Im sure there are heaps out there. BA often states its good to have players who put pressure on others. The same should apply to the Head Coach position. It can be done with mutual benefit.
Whats the word on Ryan Carr MJC? Is he with us next year?
BA has two more years to forge a long term coaching career. Would he be in demand right now if his contract were up even though his team finished 3rd? He gets the right team around him and revitalises our A and D he could be around for many years.

Murphy is attacking coach and Kidwell is defence coach of the NRL team, as I understand it Carr wound have been the reserve grade coach and assisting at the NRL level.

Carr is relatively new and that’s not the area I think needs to be refreshed. Just my thoughts and I could be wrong, but don’t understand why there is a reluctance to initiate change at that level.

Well as there was no reserve grade in 2020 (after March) i would think that Carr was more involved with the NRL team and my mail is that this is likely to increase into 2021.

He’s on par with Matt Elliot. He didn’t win one semi final game, despite his teams playing in a few.

would anyone here be happy signing a coach with that record?

I don't mind if the clubs re-signs him or goes with Toovey or Green.

Just don't sign the next up n coming guy. It's a lottery and I don't want a Pay, Kearney or Jason Taylor thanks. But but FitzGibbon or Ryles are next in line. No thanks.
Maguire is a premiership winner and he is doing well at the Tigers considering their lack of resourcing. I bet he'd love to get out of there and come to a middle of the road club like Parra.

On the other side of the coin

We make or even win the GF next year, then an extension?
Along with the spine?

I think BA would like to be at Parra till retirement age. So really next year is a huge one, for him and Moses also.

We do need to bring in some fresh blood and energy for next year. We wont improve too much with just Opacic
Great minds!

Sounds sensible. It seems like they are not content with what we did this year and are looking to improve our set up. That’s a great sign for next year. Just need to jag a couple of players to improve our roster. I hope the Mennings thing gets sorted quickly.
