yeah I’d hate to pay a coach close to a mill a year, for 3 years, jag a Comp in the second year, and then only be able to afford a 500k a year coach after that. In fact it’s one of my biggest fears in life. Maybe we should bring in a SK type coach, and see how that pans out. Nothing like scraping the bottom of the barrel.
We definitely need a coach with a bigger face.

Can you make me another coach who has been at the same club for 7 years and not made the grand final at least once?

There’s another stat that’s alarming.

In the nrl era, only one coach, that’s coached more than 8 years then jagged a premiership. That’s John Lang. But some of the years he coach were outside the nrl years, so it’s debatable if he qualifies

All the other coaches were either rookies, won one within a few years, or old timers that have one comps over the years (wb, Bellamy and robbo).

The stats indicate Nathan brown, Cleary and BA won’t win a Comp.

Nathan Brown has never been at the same club for 7 seasons. Ivan Cleary has made 2 grand finals as a first grade coach. I would say he overachieved with that Warriors side.

it's just a game of footy

To you and that's fine and it is also true at a very simplistic level but we do invest a lot of time and passion into it too, so to belittle it like saying "it's just a game" is a little unfair in my opinion and i think it is a phrase that is used to make people feel like shit because they care.

Daniel Anderson made 2 GF's as a coach too but we as a club were trying to sack him at the same exact time that we were on a run to the GF, during the GF and then until they successfully got rid of him the year after a GF.

How about one other coach whose team conceded fifty points (twice) and went on to win the comp? Souths should sack Bennett right now. A dumb argument, sure, but you started it.

It's not just the coach they were able to afford. It looks like their whole football operation has been gutted. And how about Bennett's stint at the Knights? Followed by back to back wooden spoons. Certainly set them up for success. It's good to see Nathan Brown's papers weren't stamped never to coach again.

Of course it's only a game, and no one is slitting their wrists over it....

But it is f**king frustrating watching this clueless coach go around for 7 f**king years and deliver the same results...is everyone blind?? How can anyone argue against this???

It is unbelievable, but I guess it can only happen at Parramatta

No other club would persist with this situation....
Not a single club

No wonder why we haven't won a premiership for 36 years

Do you remember Kearney? That was clueless and a monumental f**k up at all levels!!

Since 2017, we have missed the finals once (including this year), i would hardly call him clueless. This is where you lose people with your comments.

Does he have the ability to get us to the next level? History is suggesting that he does not, but calling him clueless is hilarious.

We haven't won a comp for 36 years because our management (and fan, board election votes to an extent) at all levels let us down for so long until it all came to a head in 2016 and we were given a clean slate.

We didn't have the luxury of brining in Uncle Wayne, Bellamy or Robinson who are clearly top tier coaches but they also have teams who have enormous resources and we simply don't have that and i'll tell you it is the failures of the past as to why we don't have those resources because if we had been more successful we would probably be as loaded as those clubs.
