Let's not throw any imaginary current Origin players into our team. This year we only had two players unarguably good enough to get picked in the Origin series, despite sitting third on the ladder. Melbourne had six, Penrith had seven and Souths also had six. The three rosters are a class above. That was obvious in the pre-season.

That wasn't my point or even a pissing contest. What i am saying is that when people say "It is just a game" that is designed to belittle the people who don't just think it is a game.

You can have what ever opinion you want to but it doesn't mean other people see it that way.

You invest a shit load of time, i know that and you also think it is just a game so that is great for you and if that means your weekend are better than say mine are after a loss i don't think you realise how jealous i am of that and that is not a positive or negative comment it is just that we both feel different about it.

I think BA has been a great coach, but I think he has always had limitations. I never thought he would likely be the coach who would take us to a Premiership, and not a lot has happened since he has been here to change my mind on that.

We're at a stage now where we need fresh ideas to go to the next level. That won't happen under the current group of coaches.

Agreed, i have never been arguing for or against BA, just more the irrational comments some make.

I have been happy for change pretty much anytime since 2017. We just need an upgrade, not a sideways change or a downgrade. We need a coach who can get us up for games against Melbourne, i know it sounds silly but they are literally our kryptonite, sure we beat them earlier in the year but we need to beat them on a consistent basis when it matters. We are already defeated when we play them in the big games before a ball is even kicked!

How do people see us winning a peremiership?

If we get a new coach, do you believe he can do it with the current squad?

If we keep the coach, I don't see us winning with the current squad ..... we have a solid squad - a top 8 kind of squad - but there is no way we have the same personel as Melbourne, Manly, Penrith

I guess the question is where are we gonna make squad changes to give us a better chance? - even with a new coach

We need a coach who can either identify and keep (i realise this is a club wide thing, but the right coach helps) young talent like a Turbo OR we need a coach who can attract a Turbo or JAC or something. We need an x factor, or 2.

It is clear to me that BA cannot attract that kind of talent to the club, or if he can we just do not want to pay someone that much money......which is also a possibility.
