Does Brad Arthur deserve the hype?

Not at all. A half with a good long kick suits the territory/possession game. And even when playing that way you need someone with spark to add a bit of X factor. Sandow got a lot less ball in 2012 - he was just used after a (rare) quick play-the-ball or on the last tackle. Plus near the opposition line because nobody else had any ideas either with Hayne out injured.

Under Arthur, Sandow gets a lot more ball because we repeatedly attack the edges. That gives him more scope to make stupid decisions.

I think he was signed because he wore jumper number 7 and Kearney wanted a better number 7 than what he had. He's been rubbish since he got here. To be honest he wasn't much better at Souths and was always doomed to fail under the immense scutiny that is put on Parra and it's halves.

I said at the time we were replacing the 16th best half in the NRL in Robson, with the 15th best half in Sandow. My opinion hasn't changed, although in hindsight we were probably better off with Robson for half the price.

I could imagine you Bazal watching the man with the cards picking the card you chose each time.And you giving him a dollar to watch it again.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

Hagan is still the best coach we have had since Brian Smith in terms of consistency.

For mine, the coach changed the dumb decision of having only two forwards on the bench today, with moving to three...

But then he makes the equally dumb and mystifying decision of dropping a player (Sandclown) for a much lesser quality player (Kelly) for what purpose????? Again...DUMB.

I think Brad Arthur can coach, what I worry about is that he's one of those coaches that is a poor judge or player talent. Its no good being a third of the way through the season and deciding he dosent have the right players and needs to find someone else to sign.
Its an area we consistently fall down in, having the right squad.

Taylor is struggling with a more talented roster at the Tigers.

I never said we should have picked Taylor either, although he is in his first year with a very young squad so they will be inconsistent.

I just wish we would get an experienced coach with a good record.

f**king offer Bellamy the leagues club and Westfields and Parramatta Road and whatever the f**k he wants, just get him here!!!!!

I actually don't think we look poorly coached, we actually look like there is some structure to our attack (yes kicking needs to better especially getting repeat sets but that is why Foran is coming) and defence is getting better - still need to work harder around the ruck and wrestle but last year we pretty much conceded tries on our own try line this year we have been defending sets.

What the coach can't control is stupid double movements, dropping balls, Falou losing it for a try etc etc etc

We aren't improving. We are regressing. A crucial part of a coach's job to improve areas that need working on and get the most out of your players. Arthur is doing neither.
