You St George fans seem to have a huge problem with the fact that WIN stadium hosts more home games than Kograh.

NEWSFLASH!!!

There are 8 other sydney teams, which if my calcualtions are within an hours drive of St George???????

Stop friggin wingin ya wankers. You try drivin up from wollongong to see the dragons play at away games. The closest "AWAY" ground to wollongong is Shark Park, and that takes just on an hour, with hardly any traffic. Now how long does it take you to get from St George to Cronulla again??? Last time i did it it took just on 20mins.

The longest you would have to travel for a Sydney "AWAY" game would be under an hour to Brookvale. If you did that from Wollongong which i do every 2nd week, if ya have a good run will take u just on 2 hours

So stop ya farkin wingin at get out and see your team play in YOUR HOME CITY!!!!!!

Hey Tz17...

The only people who lose out if you apply this logic is Wollongong fans.

Not many people can afford the time or money to go to every game, so they usually buy a season ticket. This is good coz the club gets all the money up front.

tell people in Sydney that there are 8 games they can go to + all the Oki ones that are within an hour of their house and what wwill they do?

Sydney or wollongong? Sydney or Wollongong? Sydney or Wollongong.

Well done tz17. You've just ripped the Illawarra off for at least 5 home games and put the money in the pocket of Mssrs Fitzgerald, Politis, Arthurson and Noad.

For the record, i believe its every Saints fans duty to have a season pass for OKi and Wynn Stadium for the same number of games ie 10.

I totally understand that not all people can afford to go to ALL sydney games, but the St George fans are winnging that they have to travel down to wollongong more than what they should have too. Thats a fair call, but look at it from the illawarra fans view. Sydney folk have a dragons game within an hour "most weeks", yet they can still try to deprive the Illawarra side of the JV.

Sounds a bit like the pot callin the kettle black 2 me :?

Cheers

What? I don't think St George fans are whinging about travelling to Wollongong.
The home ground issue is simply put: Kogarah fans want a 50/50 split.... as per the JV agreement.
There's no argument beyond that.

Then why argue for 50/50?! When Sydney fans have got plenty of games nearby through most of the season?

People in the Illawarra wouldn't care how many games were at WIN if there were plenty of "away" games to watch at places such as Nowra, Robertson, Kiama! For god's sake!

Nice to see someone talking sense. I even know some St.George people who say the same thing. Unfortunately on here there's a frustrating loud minority who can't see things from anyone elses perspective.

Is it divine intervention you're seeking now? Perhaps you could make your point without getting too flustered.

As a matter of interest, would you be happy if all Dragons home games were played in Wollongong?

As a person who travels to Sydney from Shellharbour to watch the dragons play, I honestly have to say the club needs 50/50 for harmony. Both venues are great, and although a lot of shit is thrown at WIN by the hardcore anti-Illawarrans, both are spiritual homes to St George and Illawarra. The current situation with Jubilee, and the contract between the club and WIN stadium, means there will be an uneven split until at least the end of next season.
And as a person who drives from Shellharbour (Between W'gong and Kiama for those who don't know) to Parramatta every f**king day, I say big deal for Illawarrans who have to travel to sydney for a game or 6. It's not that far. Problem is, most people in the Illawarra don't like to leave it unless they're going on holidays. You don't want to support the club because it's all too hard, it's too far away from the Steelworks, buy a bumper sticker and become a Souths fan.

I have stayed out of this argument until I saw your stupid post.
Incase you haven't noticed we are called ST.GEORGE Illawarra Dragons, not Illawarra Dragons.

NEWSFLASH
We represent the ST.GEORGE district just as much as the Illawarra.
Having 8 Sydney teams is irrelevant we deserve half of our HOME games at Kogarah whether you like it or not.

MOS82 you are a f*ckwit, you knew perfectly well before you started this useless poll that the majority of the people that hate St.George like yourself would vote for the Steelers strip.
If you got the balls (assuming your not a woman, or are you?), I would like you to go ask the people that matter like the Dragon army this poll and see what kind of answer you get.

So even though we "represent the St.Geroge district just as much as the Illawarra" anyone who would like to see the Illlawarra Jersey used as an alternate strip hates the team???

Hate to tell you this but St.George alone in first-grade is currently non-existent, let go. It's St.George Illawarra now & if you can't accept that then you ain't a supporter of this club. Illawarra have as much say as St.George.

Sorry I didn't make myself clear, I was talking about opposition supporters.
You see we were promised a 50/50 split in home games, the Steelers jersey wasn't mentioned thats the difference.
What some people on here fail to realise is that St.George pay all the bills in this jv, we even lent the Steelers $8m which still has not been paid back.
So to all you bandwagon or ex-Steeler supporters, be grateful there is a team playing in Wollongong.
