Dragons statement: Player breach

This has cost Vaughan a small fortune at the back end of his career so he won’t be able to make it up on his next contract. That’s assuming any team would even consider signing him. Off to the UK I think.

Of the others, Dufty, Beale, Norman, Ellis & Fuimaono aren’t contracted for next year. Given the golden opportunity we gave Beale I think he should be sent packing immediately.

Following players aren’t affected Sims, Hunt, McCullough, Ramsey, Ravalawa, Williame, Clune, Burns, Faamausili & rookies Sloan, Amone, Sullivan & Feagai’s.

That leaves;

Lomax: who was seen as a future Club Captain should be totally ashamed of himself. How could he captain the Club now?

JdB should be embarrassed & ashamed after everything the Club has done for him over the last 2.5yrs he repays the faith with humiliation.

Bird, the Club takes an enormous risk bringing him back after all his injuries & again repays the Club with humiliation.

McGuire, Club takes a risk bringing him down mid year, already suspended for 5wks & now this! Tear up his contact today!

Lowrie, Alvaro & Kerr: all plodders probably just going with the crowd & didn’t want to miss out. Not much expectation for any of these 3.

Whenever I feel sad, I now think of Jack under a bed and I smile again.

Thanks Jack, I have a daughter your age, she is no coward.
Who was the dobber who said that Jack was under the bed? Jack would not disclose this surely? If he hid under the bed, it must have been a tight squeeze for him unless it's on stilts.

I just don't believe all this drivel about Jack being under the bed, Dufty sprinting 5 kilometres to his home, Cinderella being in the shoe cupboard or whatever. It is so easy to make up stories to suit the occasion when the guys don't come out to defend themselves.

Wrong place at the wrong time and punishment given - that's the end. See you later at the next game boys and have a good one for us loyal fans.

I don’t agree with much of your comments, but this was otherwise a f**king excellent post. I liked the calling of the card. I might do my own “woke” version! Thanks for the inspiration.

Hard core Sgi lads at work having a laugh over it including Duftys ex junior team mate.

They were laughing about the stupidity of the attempted escapes and hiding as much as anything else, the hopelessness and dumbness of it all.

They praised el Piggy for not snitching.

Smells like team spirit.

Strip points off the Rabbitohs!
Ban him for 8 weeks!
Burn him at the stake!!
Well well well.
This is far worse than our boys as it allegedly involves someone outside of the bubble.

"MH’s Michael Chammas tweeted that “Arrow allegedly breached NRL COVID-19 rules by coming into contact with someone from outside the Queensland Origin bubble. It remains unclear whether he left the hotel or brought the third party into camp.”
It is alleged Arrow invited a woman into the Maroons hotel on the Gold Coast."

Tiger Black?
Tiger sitting on the sideline at the fold out card table on a windswept and rainy KJO that brings back memories and of course the time keepers and bell ringers sitting beside him on another table and then of course the St John's ambulance volunteers with the canvas stretcher beside them.

Tiger was a great club man and a Saint through and through and was commentating at a time when 2KY was a real sports radio station and of course Frank Hyde ruled the airwaves on 2SM.

I always remember Chang (when he was getting long in the tooth) and Frank had a real falling out but Chang played a masterful game at HQ and Frank went to award him the time honoured Seiko watch for his MOM performance and Chang told him to stick it in his arse lol.

Puff and Tubby Allan working from the top of the old ABC radio van

Tubby of course then went on to work with a very youthful Jim Maxwell and then Gordon Bray at the RU games.

Just on Darcy Lawler if not mistaken he stood behind Ken Irvine who was taking a shot at goal / conversion from the sideline against the Poms (KI not a noted kicker but did a little now and then as did Johnny King) and just before Irvine moved in DL supposedly told him he should aim it a bit more to the right and KI did and duly kicked it.

We have lost so many great commentators and refs who were true aficionado's of the game and were actually very good for the game unlike the self opinionated muppets of today.

Thirsty is still a bit old school I think.

Pretty sure PK has a boxing background. Plus Goddard showed the world Joey has zero idea when it comes to fighting
Cheers, I’m going to check that one out now!

Here tis fight fans!:

Joey played the rest of the game against giant pineapple donuts and drunken Bert Newton’s.

Origin was soo much better back in the day. Cant imagine Godard and co on the dive. They’d rather get smashed!
