Lucky to have 6 points in that team....Dugan will have to carry a massive load with that makeshift halves pairing.

No,but at 5/8th it might.
Guys why don't we chill and see how it pans out.

Yeh I'm actually curious...

Maybe the answer to our halves (or part of it at least) will be found where we least expected it..

but yeh let's see what happens.....it's not like we have any other choice...

Maybe somehow it's KYLE Stanley and he's had a miraculous recovery at the Steven Dank Rehab centre?

Watch Dugan run off Chase all day, create havoc, defense won't know which way to look...... Hope I don't wake up soon

Price gets criticised for sticking with the same players week in week out. This week he has made a few changes and some are still not happy.

Lets see how it pans out. Could be a good move or could be disaster but we will never know if he doesn't try. At least he is trying something new.

Yep, we will wait.
Having said that, our 6 and 7 on paper anyway offer nothing.
All Im saying is if you are going to make changes, make them, dont put a
bulky centre at 6.
Anyway, here's hoping im wrong.

ye true but the changes he made are terrible. drop the players that are not performing (fein, rein, stanley and hunt) bring in players that play there positions like drinkwater at 7 (chase Stanley in not a 5/8, prior is not a centre) price likes putting players in different positions which makes no sense and dropping just soward is stupid, im sure half the team are not playing well to.
whats price trying to do,, a mick potter on benji

Soward had a major hand in the 2 tries we scored last weekend...more than anyone else. Would have preferred to see Drinkwater at half and Soward at five eight to give us 2 creative options in close. Also if we are forced to use Prior as a centre again this week I think the Club has real problems.

In the very least it will be unpredictable...Chase is a fairly strong runner, defense wont be able to lay off him and slide like they did with Soward. The best part about it is that Newcastle have no idea how he'll go, could be a surprise for them.

Also gets him defending closer, ultimately strengthens that right side...right????

I reckon Mel Brooks "The Producers" may well have been surpassed with this Steve Price farce.

Running, he can do that from centre or lock lol, what about kicking and controlling the game, surely all this wont be left up to Fien.
It took 8 years for your mate Sutton to be able to play at 6,so we will see how Chase goes.Dugan can kick and i am sure Chase can kick also.

I usually think people who whine and moan about the team list on Tuesday are a lot like dogs howling at the moon, because the team is usually different by game day. That said... I feel like howling myself right now

Good on you Slippery,exactly right.
Dropping Soward may be the warning the players need to wake up to themselves.

I don't have a problem with him making changes, but playing players out of position doesn't make sense when there are quality young guys down below, What must they be thinking? How do I get a start here, do I have to leave to get a start?
Not a good look in supporting players of tomorrow. It might work for one week, but won't long term. Halves are specialist spot, that's why they are generally the highest paid in clubs

I'm actually thinking Price may be trying to be a little sneaky here... Maybe he's not completely dropping Soward for lack of performance may be he's finally seen the light of day and realised Soward/Fein aren't gelling and has dropped him to the Cutters to get some game experience with Drinkwater in order to bring Drinkwater into the team in the coming weeks??? Probably just wishful thinking though...

I bet Chase doesn't even play at 5/8. Drinkwater will play this weekend - it's Price trying to delfect the attention/scrutiny off Drinkwater.

Good point.
My argument exactly in post #26.
