Fan friendly = your choice of souths or Brisbane every Friday night
I agree with you on that.
Starting season with Brisbane and Souths on a Thursday then both will keep playing on Friday as usual.

It's a fixed-schedule, you have more time to organise specifics (fly in/outs) than any other year.
"While this means it's not possible to deliver a draw before December, our fans now know the date of their team's matches right up to the end of July, which allows them to plan their year," added Mr Kind.

Dec 17 was told today by someone in the NRL
It's ridiculous. I reckon it will be Fri 19th Dec.
Scrap all the mickey mouse pre season rubbish, wcc, nines, allstars...start the comp early have 30 rounds, everyone play each other twice = much simpler and fairer....but no...too easy

So why are you even here?25 regular season games are already a waste of time. 30 of them would be a joke. EPL don't have finals for a start so it makes sense. 30 games and the minor premiership would still mean nnothing. Events get peoples attention and especially potential new fans. The more nines, wcc, rep games, all stars etc the better. Regular club games don't inspire anybody especially when they don't mean anything or have any bearing on the title. It should be 22 rounds max. No club games during origin or tests and expand the events and rep games as much as possible.
Round 1
Brisbane Broncos v South Sydney Rabbitohs
Parramatta Eels v Manly Warringah Sea Eagles
Newcastle Knights v Warriors
North Queensland Cowboys v Sydney Roosters
Gold Coast Titans v Wests Tigers
Penrith Panthers v Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs
Cronulla Sharks v Canberra Raiders
St George-Illawarra Dragons v Melbourne Storm

It's just hopeless.
Why are all 3 Queensland teams at home? It's still blazing hot in Queensland at the start of March, will all 3 be away in round 2? Will we get a similar farce like last season where no Queensland team played at home on the Easter holiday weekend?
No match in New Zealand or Melbourne in round 1 is also utter stupidity, the AFL season hasn't started and there should always be a match in NZ round 1 to hype the season up across the Tasman.
These f**kers don't know what they are doing, send it back and start the draw again.
A few games there not really what Id call enthralling
Newcastle Knights v Warriors
Cronulla Sharks v Canberra Raiders
