Sorry to burst everyone's bubble but carney isn't coming dragons my best mates dad is Flanagan I saw him at cronulla on weekend n asked about Todd n he hinted to me 4yr deal and we will kno by next Friday they are just fixing up things, however dugan is still a possibility !! Whenever it comes to media and newspaper in general I think of what Denzel washington said in that movie "Training day".

That scene when they are in the cafe.

He holds up a newspaper and points to it and says " See this, it's 90% bullshit....... but it entertains me"

I tend to agree with him, journos are not in the "telling the truth" business, they are purely there to cause shit, create opinion (which is not a bad thing itself, however I prefer good, proper, factual driven articles and not the shit written today) whilst hiding under the guise of "free speech and keeping people honest".

I don't read the paper to see what's happening I do honestly read it for entertainment.

Hardly an advantage, I think Carney comes in about 1 or 2cm taller than Soward. For some reason Soward just appears smaller than he is, but he's bigger than Thurston, about the same size as Pearce etc. Dragons website lists him at 177cm and 92kg.

I suppose if you put it like that it makes sense. He looks smaller than he is then. Carney just looks substantially bigger to the eye.

Yes and I think both Beale and Dugan can play centre if needed when Beale returns.

o Soward: For me only if hes in the 350-450k range, I dont think hes in the category of the game-winning halves who actually run aggressive lines.

o Carney: I was a bit cranky we didnt go after him when he was last available, seemed an obvious buy at a discount price back then, and I dont mind his purchase now, only since Cronk/JT are off the table, Josh Reynolds would be even better, but I just cant see him leaving the Dogs.

o Dugan: If we can get him for <500k yes, Im a bit on the fence with his purchase, we have a lot of young potential fullbacks, but really 1 more talented kid is flat out give us some serious options of shuffling talent between Fullback/Centre/Halves.

Its a relative thing, right now we need to buy some talent, which means we have to take a gamble on someone.. we cant sit around on our hands like what happened with the Cronk fiasco, so unless there is someone else in mind that they want to throw the house at, then we take a punt on these guys, and if it doesnt work out we get rid of them in 1-2yrs.
