Dylan Brown - charged sexual touching

I don’t understand how they keep getting in trouble but then I remember they are a different breed to me.
NRL players are risk takers by personality, they don’t compute the dangers of stuff or if they do they bravely just decide it is worth taking the risks for the reward.
I was always ordinary at football because I was worried about getting injured every collision. The good players are prepared to take more risks on and off the field.

Bottom line... he squeezed tits twice, missed three games, and deservedly has a criminal record for 'sexual touching'. NRL can fine him for being a dickhead, but headbutters etc miss less games and face no criminal charges - it should now be play on.
If there's grass on the wicket...

Now the hearings have concluded and the verdict/sentence handed down and in force, I'd be surprised if there are any further NRL sanctions stopping Dylan from playing. They don't really have a leg to stand on imo to do more than the stand downs they choose to apply to this situation prior to the hearing.

Good point, what would have been a worse crime, a couple of quick goosings on the tits by a boofhead drunk or a full on head butt? I know which one I would prefer if I was a woman or man. I'm currently transitioning into a Meatball and everyone is saying I've never tasted so good. I tell them it's my ability to self sauce thickly. What the...where am I going with this?

Back on point.

The quick titty grope is something that most women can quickly recover from and even as some here have already stated a girl/woman can turn around and slap the jerk and even knee him in the cans and put the imbecile in his place. While a head butt, well anything can go wrong with that from a broken nose(potential life long discomfort/breathing issues, surgery) broken or lost teeth or even a fractured/broken jaw or cheek/eye socket.

But I suppose the NRL will do the sexist thing and say women deserve more protection and therefore a harsher penalty imposed against those who harm them. Aren't we all meant to be equal in the eyes of the law irrespective of sex? Remember Justice wears a blindfold for a reason.

I know the NRL isn't the law, but they claim to be following the law and respond to what happens there. So the law decided and he didn't do any time. We have already given him time(3 weeks) so they should now move on. A fine should suffice, but they have to be seen to be doing the woke thing and making an example of him, even though they do this in such an inconsistent and arbitrary manner.

He will probably get another 3-4 weeks plus a fine, but I don't think that is fair or just and a little over the top.

It's not a bad advice. If you can't control your alcohol, don't drink.

My stance on this: the actual offence he committed is not that bad. The thing that pisses me off is him going out and having '15 - 20 drinks' when the whole team made an agreement to keep a low profile that weekend. I do think he's a tad overrated as a player, and always have. But this just makes it look like he's not really a team player. Prove me wrong, Dylan.

Well if you have heard of the word "puffery" before, it's used in the advertising world and it's also used by lawyers when preparing a defense brief. I think way too many of you have failed to pick up the coincidental nuance of the diminished responsibility angle of 15-20 drinks by his legal team. Let's face it, if he was sober he'd be judged to be a top shelf rain coat wearing creep. Five drinks is probably sober enough to get his NRL contract torn up. 40 drinks puts him in rehab. Yep 15-20 is the sweet spot.

Yes, and Dylan's weekend choices have also cost the team 3 weeks without him through the pre-trial stand-down - same amount of games that selfish Matterson choose to miss when not paying the fine to "teach the NRL a lesson".

Dylan is very lucky we happened to win all the games he missed - unlike Matterson at the start of the year. These blokes all need to be taught a bit of team first discipline...

Puffery or not, he disobeyed team protocol. Hope he learns from this.

I'm actually surprised the integrity unit didnt make an announcement today. I think we'll see one by Sunday, as from Monday the press-cycle all becomes around origin again with teams being named, and its in the NRL's best interests for the Dylan situation to slip away and be drowned out by origin chatter. If they wait too long into next week it will dominate headlines

On the upside, he helped uncover the unrealised potential of Asi.

I'm a big fan of Drown the player and the person (based on tidbits I've heard about the bloke from friends)... But I can't really argue with anything you've posted there....
