I know that guy has to tow the company line but my god thats a doozy. I don't think I could have said that with a straight face. The second I started suggesting an 8 year or so old past-gen console as an offline capable alternate device my brain would have been shouting "OR they can make decision that isn't absolutely ridiculous and go to our competitor, who is offering a more powerful product, with less consumer loyalty destroying policies, is cheaper, and will actually have the newest games".

As I said, I know he has to tow the company line but thats almost too much to swallow, casually pretending as if Xbox consoles are the only option ffs, this guy must've been brainwashed to the point that he's never even heard of Sony.

The difference is we, as consumers, are not bound and are forced to concede like Theon.

That's their biggest mistake. They are acting as if they are the only console on the market. They're not. We have options, and I suspect most will use those options and MS will be left with their tail between their legs.

I love how Sony dominated E3 simply by maintaining the status quo and allowing the consumer features that have been inherent in every console that has ever existed :lol:. Not even that, given that the PS4 will now have a pay wall to play online (not totally fair since PS+ is a great service).

Just goes to show how bad Microsoft's PR has been.

Microsoft are absolute morons and, for some inane reason, think they can just blow through all this negative PR and still sell well. If they actually had a legitimate reason to be so arrogant and inattentive to their fan-base, then they should know. As it is, the 360 is not even out-selling the PS3 globally anymore (or rather, the PS3 will over-take it very shortly - which is hilarious given the 360 launched a year earlier) so I have no idea why they think brand loyalty will get through this. They are effectively committing business suicide with the Xbox One.

This video is why I'm waiting for Sony to come out with a video that says "If you can't get some form of connectivity, you can still play PS4."

Sony must just be sitting back and laughing, Microsoft is doing half the work to get the PS4 sold.

Size comparison

I honestly think the Xbox One looks too much like a VCR; even the size is right! I definitely find the PS4 to be the better looking, more modern console. Both aren't that great looking though, but the PS4 will certainly be much easier for people to manage - and thus appeal more to those looking for high tech stuff. Funny isn't it that it is both cheaper and has the superior tech.....
Also, anyone think the PS4 looks like a slanted modern re-envisioning of the PS2? Very tasteful by Sony.

Sony trolled Microsoft hard, but Microsoft trolled themselves better than anyone else. It is nice to see that everyone is jumping on the PS4 though.

I wonder how long before we see redesigned versions of each console.

As for the design of the Xbone, I can see where they're coming from with the design. It certainly wouldn't look out of place sitting next to my Foxtel box, it'd just blend right in.
