Eels & Bulldogs enjoy strong growth off the field
NRL Tue, 16 Mar 2010 13:14:00

The weekend’s results may not have gone the way of the Bulldogs or Eels, but off the field both teams are continuing to score points when it comes to Membership in 2010.

The Eels, who have enjoyed a record 87% growth in membership numbers since last year, are fast approaching their target of 10,000 members, whilst the Bulldogs broke the 11,000 mark this morning.

Further down the ladder, the Wests Tigers’ fans are continuing to ‘Step Up’ even before Monday night’s come from behind win, whilst the Sharks and Panthers are continuing to build on their totals.

With the race to 10,000 ticketed members now over, the NRL is looking for the club with the largest percentage membership growth from last year, and with 11 clubs currently sitting ahead of their 2009 totals, the race is still quite open.

While the increase is great it will be much better if we manage to keep that number and increase it next year.

Furthermore, this is a link to show what the variety of memberships on offer.
Seems like they cater for everyone, considering the complaints around here.

PS. I f**king hate AFL, but this is one thing they do better than League.
and they just hit 50k recently as well. geez it would be nice if nrl clubs could get to those heights. the financial benefits would go a long way to securing the future of the game.

The Bulldogs allow their members to pay their fees monthly. Smart move to assist those who may not have the cash up front.

I recently signed up to Hawthorn, and they are close to 50,000 as well.

They have a great range of Packages and for the First year, have a Blue Blood equivlent membership.

The only thing I was upset about is that I don't get a membership scarf :(

It just shows why a team in melbourne is really a waste of space, they have played in the last 4 GF's a won 2 of them and their membership drops by 25%.
I can see why News Ltd want out.
