Make that 7 now!!!

But the good news is our local rivals are losing their BEST player!!! And hes coming to ROVERS .

Its massive news in our city! Paul Cooke resigned from Hull FC and signed a 3 season deal with Hull KR, but the deal is all in the air due to contract disputes and legal mumbo jumbo!

There are too many articles and links to put up here so ill post us websites and if you choose you can surf for the stories.

Not sure whether this thread has run its course but ill reply here anyway.

Hull KR lost a grand total of 7 straight Super League games on the bounce.

We played Hull FC in Cardiff and won 14-10 over our local rivals. FYI

Did you go TG? I just got back. KR played very well I thought, deserved winners and the drought is broken.

For Parra fan info Mick Vella didn't play, but Jimmy Webster is back from injury, and now paired with his new halves partner in Paul Cooke. And prop Ryan Tandy has just signed for KR as well from cash-strapped Doncaster, if memory serves he might have been an Eels junior/lower grader originally?

Hey Barty..hope you're well son.

Ryan is a St George junior I believe, I don't think he's played for our club.

Sure did go yeah! Was an awesome weekend, badly organised imho by the RFL but next year should be better done.

Mick Vella didnt play but wanted to, he was back in Hull with his wife while she had their first child. Lachlan they have named the baby and he was a big buggar as well! Mick actually rang Justin Morgan at 9am on the morning of the game to say he will drive down now and play! Morgan told him to stay home with the baby! Thats commitment for you.

Article here about him being included in the squad for Wigan

http://www.sporthull.co.uk/rugby_league/hull_kr/news/displayarticle.php?ID=705

We also went away to Wigan for the second time this season on Friday and came away with another win!!!

Webbo has been back for a little while and now with Cooke were playing some decent rugby again.

As far as Tandy goes, he hasnt played a game yet prob due to legal issues with Doncaster who have stopped paying their players.

Glad your all still here and intrested, ill read your other threads incase youve mentioned about Mick Vella's baby.

All the best for now and ill be back to report more in the future to keep you informed.

Erm...No News is bad news right? In the month passed we've been shocking, we've played twice maybe 3 times since my last post, the last game we were beaten at home by the World Champs St Helens 30-0! We now travel to Harlequins tomorrow looking for another win as Salford who are bottom have closed the game on us to just 1pt after they beat Harlequins 2 weeks ago 5-2!!! First game in the history of ESL that a game hasnt had a try! Were hoping for a win tomorrow as Salford seem inspired under the new leadership of Shaun McRae.

We are also linked with offering Matt King a deal worth $700,000 for next season!!! Id like to sign him but thats an awful lot for one player.

I reckon you might do Harlequins tomorrow TG. Tings have been pretty quiet coming out of KR since the St Helens loss, and I reckon Morgs will have then primed for what will be an important two points.

Cheers TG.

I read about the King deal in today's paper. The word is he will take less money to play for a better side. I wish for once a high profile player would go over there and help a struggling side! King's signing would be a lot of money, but it would bring a lot of interest to HKR so it would definately pay it's self off.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On the playing side of things we were beaten again at the weekend away at Harlequins, the Hull FC vs Salford game was called off due to predicted heavy weather and flooding around the Hull area on Sunday, ended up being lovely and sunny lol. So we now sit 1pt above the relegation place and Salford have a game in hand now.

This sunday we take on our local rivals for the 3rd time this season with the score being 1-1! Were at home so we hope it counts for something and we can record another win over them =), if we do we will draw level on points with them! Heres hoping.

Erm...Short update.

We got beat to Hull FC at Home...30-20.

We beat Catalan Dragons in France on Saturday night 22-20 after leading 22-6 at half-time but held on. No Mickey Vella for either of these games. Salford were beaten heavily by Warrington 40-6 yesterday (sunday) and now sit 3pts behind us but they have a game in hand after the postponded game as mentioned above by myself against Hull FC, hopefully they lose that. With only 8 games left anything can still happen.

Will be a tight run season TG... Warrington seem to be firing again, will Micky V be back on board soon?

But I wouldn't be surprised if they look at a 13 team comp just for one year next year, depending who was meant to go down, ahead of the 14 teams in 2009?

Another short update...after not having a game for 2 weeks, we played our relegation candidates Salford @ Salford on friday night. This was a massive game for both teams, if Salford won we would be bottom for the first time this season, if Rovers won we would move 3pts clear of Salford with 5 games to go.

Result

Salford 24 - 30 Hull KR

Was definitely a vital game with the safety of 11th place at stake. A bit of breathing space for the Robins.

The pressure doesn't let up on Morgs and Webster and the boys though, one slip this month and Salford may be right at their heels again.

Too true! Salford lost their next game against the Leeds Rhinos heavily aswell 52-14 that kept them 3pts behind us with only 4 games left for them. We played Bradford at home and kept up our awesome home record of only winning twice! We got beat 28-10, it was 28-0 after 34 minutes so thats something that we kept them out for 46 minutes.

http://www.superleague.co.uk/leaguetable.php

4 games to go, Salford play St Helens this Friday and we play Leeds, Saints play in the Cup Final the week after so chances are a weakened team could be put out which wont be good for us but heres hoping their defeat against Catalans 21-0 last weekend will mean they need to win. We have beaten Leeds already this season and ran them within 8pts 10-18 in the second home game against them for us. If we win this Friday and Salford lose then i think its all but over as Salford must then win 3 from 3! Heres hoping it can all but be wrapped up this Friday.

Come on your reds!
