Rome was neither built nor torn down in a day. Our club started going downhill when Smith left in '06 but since 2011 the foundation has been rebuilt.

You are a dickhead. Do you really think they would be playing this well if the f**king merkins were still running the joint. No way sir. Finally we have a decent coach and staff.

You don't understand how this works ME.

If it serves your point you use it; if it defeats your point you undercut it with unproven variables, and if anyone debates them, just attempt to belittle them, or repeat yourself ad nasuem. While nobody else is paying any attention, at least you have convinced yourself.

Do you think they would be playing this well if we didn't have so many good players? Or if Hayne had missed half the season?

But I agree Arthur's is a good coach, which is probably why 3P brought him on board back in 2011. Still, he couldn't do much with a shit squad, could he? And we've proven this year we are still very capable of shitting ourselves in any given match.

No matter what happens for the next 10 years, Pou will maintain that it's 3P and Kearney that has turned this club around.

Well we are on the rise since 2011. If our direction changes again and we start to disintegrate like we did from 2006 then we would have to try and understand why.

I'm sure some of you will demand a scapegoat as usual.

And I'm sure that you will spin what ever happens to suit your agenda.

To be fair and honest here: 3P DID turn the club around in 1 significant way - the removal of the poison. Unortunately, to get the poison out, they gouged a rather large hole, and started bleeding to death almost immediately.

There's a reason the 'attitude' around the club was so positive immediately following the change. And it would be facile to pretend that had absolutely nothing to do with a surge in on-field fortunes.

Unfortunately, the dim-wits started to undermine the (clever tactical) coach who took them to the grand final the very next year, and surely that affected on-field performances and general club attitude through 2010.

And then they appointed a moron, sacked him, then appointed a bigger moron before being ousted.

If you look back at the online questions he used to try and answer back then he seemed as frustrated with the head coach as the rest of us.

After 2011 we went down not up mate .

Not true. In '12 and '13 we had a better squad than in 2011 but said squad was decimated by injuries (Hayne and Tonga) and Sandow's off field issues.

Our roster got worse every year from 2006 and improved every year from 2011. Whether it continues to improve remains to he seen but we have a young enough NRL squad and a strong enough junior system (#'academy') that we should remain competitive for many years, as we did for a few years after Smith left.
