Would you be happy to see Smith leave if one of those 4 mentioned kick on ?

it depends what role they'll play.

Tim Smith's contracted till the end of 09, so is Keating and Mortimer while hodko who's sitting on the side lines with a knee re-con, is up at the end of this year with finch.

plenty of time for choices ;-)

I think that is the whole idea of NYC. For Parra at least anyways, Denis doesnt want NYC players playing for Wenty.

I think you'll find that just about every club is adopting the same approach...the kid from the Warriors who made his debut against us on Sunday came straight out of NYC, players like Ben Barba [dogs], Lachlan Coote [Penrith], Russel Packer [Warriors] and Masada Ioseffa [Panthers] are all kids that would stroll into reserve grade/Premier league but are playing NYC.

it's not just Parra adopting that approach.

Sorry - but that is f*cked up.
I hate this NYC comp more everytime I hear something new about it.

quick summery for each player last night.

Dom Nasso: his hands let him down yet again, needs some practise in difusing the spiral bomb.

Sean Cox: plenty of Grothe-isms about his game he's got tremendous ability but needs to start reading the defence.

Tapa "Sunny" Rea: great game got involve in attack and defense, one of our best.

Mase Lalau-Togagae: a very good game also, improving each week.

Ben McLennon: quiet

Dan Mortimer: less dominant than the previous 2 games.

Kris Keating: tried very hard appears to be a little frustrated out there and told me after the game that teams a specifically targeting him throughout the match.

David Baumann: another strong display.

Tim Robinson: extremely busy in both attack and defense.

Tony Williams: a typical Tony Williams display, do something to lift the side than go into you shell for 5 to 10 minutes. love to see him start rolling his sleaves and look for work.

Tim Mannah: another great captains knock.

Anthony Mitchell: finding the progression from Ball to NYC very tough but will improve.

John Mannah: Awsome second half, one of the reasons why we ran away with it late in the game.

Luke motinelli: great service from dummy half as usual.

Taniala Lassalo: very strong while he was on and and played with a great deal of intensity.

Mithall Allgood: very impressive always looks for the ball.

Luke Latham: picked up where he left off last week. Great effort.

Thanks for that, good to see the Mannah boys continuing their good form. Keating will have to get used to that sort of pressure when he plays nrl.

I spoke to KK straight after first grade and he said that he's finding it difficult playing this grade after a year with the big boys in PL, as he sees the support play can read him much better in Premier League, he also says he's been constantly targeted byt the opposition which is obviously giving Dan Mortimer some advantage but I thought both halves had uninspiring games last night and our bigger boys were the ones to pave the way against a bigger Newcastle pack.

I just wonder if its got anything to do with Hodkison being missing, he's played most of his career next to him

from what I have seen on the two televised games, either he or Mortimer have done some very brilliant individual things, but haven't really worked together to set to many plays up

No idea of the Mannah boys or Baumann. Had a chat with Dan Mortimer at a game last year before I left and he was saying that he had signed a three year deal to remain with the club. So that should take him through to 2010.
