Well you won the f**ken comp last year. How can you criticise any decision the club made around contracts? They did what they had to do.

I am not criticising the club for the decisions they made. Merely pointing out a few reasons for our lack of depth this season.

I would advise every Panther fan to a use a very valuable tool on this site. It will come in very handy this year. The ignore button.
It is quite clear every loss we will have, or dropped ball, or perceived favouritism will bring and avalanche of jealous losers. Desperate to vent their bile across.
Pop them on ignore and save yourself the time and hassle.

if Kikau plays like that he’ll be meeting Peter Wallace very shortly

Cleary still fuming at Eels hammering

They had plenty of players sidelined, but I'm hearing Panthers coach Ivan Cleary still wasn't happy with his team's meek 36-0 thrashing by arch rivals Parramatta in their final hit-out before their title defence begins.

One player who would have caused plenty of concern is strike forward Vilami Kikau, who is a traditionally slow starter to a new season.

Kikau's stats were alarming against the Eels - he missed nine tackles, more than any other Panther, and made just eight runs for 70 metres.

The big man may find himself doing a few 'extras' as a result over the coming week and a half before the big kickoff.

Is anyone surprised? Kiks and Api will phone it in this year

I believe if they attempt that as someone else said they will meet Peter Wallace real quick.

I don't think that will be the case though, I believe the other players will demand that both these guys play to their potential.

We should of tried to do some sort of swap.

We don't exactly have a surplus of hookers or backrowers at the club.

You are assuming the squad on a whole will have the same hunger as last year. That is the main thing that stops teams going back to back

That was the most concerning thing to come out of Saturdays trial. Not just the 36-0 scoreline but the fact kikau and api looked like they couldn't give a rats.Either they change there attitude real quick or we change them real quick.

I wasn't imagining it. Kiks was terrible

I reckon API has checked out.
Your only option is an early release. Get rid of him.
