Dare I say it's a plan at least. What did Anderson have planned??

That's right Anderson signed up morts and Robson to deals and let talent like Mateo and Keating go.

But when it's all said and done Fitzy hired DA so it's really all his fault. What do you reckon, Jake?

Do we really need to constantly point the finger?

The past is in the past. It would be better for us all if we just moved on.

The one positive thing I have been told is that since Nolan, SK and Arthurs have come on board dealing with the club (recruitment) is much much improved. The issue they have still to overcome is the negative stigma associated with the club - which unfortunately is going to take $$ to fix.... There is light at the end of the tunnel but if people think it's coming tomorrow they are on drugs

When it comes to recruitment actions speak louder than words. Words are irrelevent in fact.

That's a good point.

Probably why the Tigers' depth is worse than ours. Sheens' strategy seems to be to put all his eggs in one basket - he's happy to let injuries cause him to miss the finals in any given year if it means he's a serious shot of winning it when he does get there.

Brian Smith is the opposite - he loves depth and doesn't like superstars chewing up his salary cap.

It's the old how-much-depth-is-too-much debate.

None of those three would be on close to half a million. Lawrence is on about $300k. Ellis and Tuqiri about $250k which is a bit above average for a top 17 player.

I never said they were on half a million. I said they were marquee players.

A player is determined marquee, if they are elite.....not how much they earn.

When Ellis came to the NRL, he was described by the super league as the best second rower in the world. I cant argue with that.

Considering that Lawrence is a test center and Tuquiri a dual international, then I would also consider them marquee as well.

Thats only my opinion though, you may disagree.

I'd say most of them will be hanging around in non-playing roles. Cleaning the shitters in the leagues club and so on.

Could be pretty crowded in 20 years.

If we retain every local junior coming through the club we're going to have to start creating jobs fast. Maybe the club should revisit the 90's where we payed 100k to Dallas Weston's wife to be a part time masseuse.
