what were the awards actually for, what were the qualifying criteria?

Yeah and I said back then it was unfortunate, but I also said we were working on it. We were back then and we still are now. I spoke with Ken Edwards about maybe next years AGM can be Broadcast online via someone like Compushare who do AGM's for Big companies all the time, that way you could watch and vote on the motions coming up during the meeting.

sounds good to me and I reckon alot of others would benefit from this as well

th awards were simply the highest try scorer and the player with the most tackles in the season, I think traditionally the award has been give out at the AGM for a number of years..

Yep as Stags said.

Jack Boyle tackling award is for the Player who completes the most number of Tackles in a season. Hindy had if for a While his Brother won it as well and the only non Hindmarsh to win it since 1997 I think was Glenn Morrison.

The Murray Wilson Try scoring award is the the player who scores the most Tries for the club in first grade.

which is what I assumed they would be for, but it seems strange that they are handing out awards to NRL players when "this meeting is about the district club and not the NRL side".

And they wonder why the fans are confused when we constantly get mixed messages. In trying to separate the roles, the board themselves are constantly cross referencing the two.

Yeah, the Boards/roles/different clubs have been confusing to fans, and the 2009/10 elections saw a ticket successfully run on a platform of doing something to simplify that.... Shame it never eventuated - seems the membership/fan base are stuck in the same position now as in 2009, questioning the incumbents as to why it is so.

Don't join the leagues club who run the NRL side as this will get you nowhere.
