which is what I assumed they would be for, but it seems strange that they are handing out awards to NRL players when "this meeting is about the district club and not the NRL side".

And they wonder why the fans are confused when we constantly get mixed messages. In trying to separate the roles, the board themselves are constantly cross referencing the two.

Yeah so when we made the change in 1999 the next year the awards were handed out but not at the meeting. Many Members complained about it. So it was re-introduced and the FC meeting would serve to give out information on the Football Office operations.

Now here is where it gets interesting.

The Football Office is a Joint venutre of the FC and the NRLC (hence LC). The Football office deals with all football matters from 16's to NRL as well as Disctrict junior League issues.

I think I have a chart somewhere to explain it.

I do, but it is kinda out of date (Still has Greg Mitchells roll so it would be current for 2007). Not a great deal has changed, but still some stuff on the chart would need to be removed (Two Blues for example).

WOW. I asked for the list of eligible members a week before the election and after my first request was ignored I was finally told Wednesday that I could pick it up from the office. Since my list was issued only a few days before the election, it is the most up to date and well after the date for nominations. Eric Grothe Juniour is not on my list! If it is true that he is not eligble (which I am convinced he isn't ) then this is farcical. Our members must get the opportunity to go to the polls again as the legitimacy of the whole Parra 4 ever/ 3P ticket is questionable to say the least (IMO)

I doubt it's true. But if it is they couldn't do this. The whole vote would change as some people would have only cast 6 votes.

I know a few people who voted for the whole EGJ ticket. And they said they only voted for the ticket because EGJ was on it.

BTW I would have preferred that accusations be withheld from the press until the facts are established. Then again, that's just how our club works, right ?
