How far behind??? Are you mad?? All the big 3 have never been as closely matched....last years 4 nations proved that....

And its not so much that NZ and ENG have moved to australias level its more the fact that between the old guard & nu breed australian teams they've come down to our level..

But anyway enough of the convicts

Never more closely matched? England has 2 wins out of 15 against the top two since 2008. Go back not much further. The 2003 Kangaroo Tour was close all the way. Poms still aren't in the game.

There is no longer a top three. There is the top 2, England, then France, PNG, Pacific nations... then the rest.

Ignorant. Ha! Mate, you're like Eddie and Stevo. Every series... "This is going to be the year."

Two wins out of the last sixteen. Damning stat.

Blinkered f**k.

Anyone heard any inside as to why Cuthbertson didn't get the nod? Hard to rule him out on form and given the dreadful selections at scrum half, Graham and Cuthbo as a ball playing prop pairing appears quite appealing.

That said, he's just had the longest season of his life, so maybe needs a rest. He has been raised in Australia after all. .

Ticket sales update for the tests. Really encouraging 2 weeks out...

http://www.englandrl.co.uk/article/47406/five-things-from-week-one

“I received an update while in camp that ticket sales for the International Series were doing fantastically well with over 15,000 being sold for the KC Stadium game, over 30,000 at Olympic Park and 13,000 at DW Stadium.
“Really promising figures. One thing that did stick out for me though was that 65 per cent of ticket buyers for the Olympic Park fixture were from London and the South East. The game really is growing in these areas and people want to be at the major events.

It is slightly odd to think that those Southerners don't have a team to follow at the highest level yet go to these games. I suppose it is like 15,000 Perthians rocking up to watch the Kangaroos, which is realistic.

15k is a bit light. For yhe number of kiwis in perth and recent nrl sellouts there anything less than capacity would be dreadful

Super League and Challenge Cup viewing audiences have always shown that there is a significant RL community / fan base in and around London.

Why they never turned up to Broncos games is anyone's guess. Maybe they are all expats and have other teams or they picked other teams, or just weren't engaged enough to travel to games (a bit like 3 million Australians each year) but anyway the main thing is they are interested in Internationals and are buying.

They never turned up because the Broncos are/were a f**king joke. And because London is a very big place and traveling to a nondescript league match every week against the likes of Widnes and Castleford is much different to traveling to a one-off international match at the Olympic Stadium.

Also I have no idea what this obsession with 'expats in London' is, it's total nonsense and TBH one of the biggest reasons that the Broncos are such a failure.

Good stat from a lad on TRL forum.

With 2weeks till the first test we've sold 58,000+ tickets...

The whole series in 2007 sold 58,000 tickets

58k is roughly £1.8m to £2m in ticket money
