More positive stadium news as York finally agree a deal to play at the new 8,000 capacity Community Stadium starting in 2017, and will play at York City FC's stadium in the meantime. Pretty ridiculous that it's taken this long to get sorted to be honest but at least the issue is now resolved.
Fantastic news!! Especially seeing as they're a real chance of getting promoted to the Championship now!

Wakefield v bradford will be very interesting its the saturday arvo game and on sky/fox as well. If bradford wim they will have carry great momentum into the remaining fixtures. Salford v leigh will be a cracker especially since leigh put them out of the cup this year

Can someone please write a book about the London Bronco's.
Maybe call it "From Fullham to Full Stop".

It would be an interesting read on both a sporting and business angle.

Seems like it was a pretty bizarre match tonight in York. Take a look at the half-time score compared to full-time.

Must be gut-wrenching to make such a comeback only to lose to a penalty kick right at the end!

Good result for North Wales which keeps their season alive, and nice to see Frenchman Benjamin Jullien scoring another two tries, I believe he has signed with Warrington for next year.

There's a book called PASTEL REVOLUTION which gives a pretty decent insight to the failings/workings at the club.

Successive owners of the club have all added to the demise and god awful state the club is in now, along with the RFL/SKY for elevating the side artificially but offering nothing other than lip service to the club.
That said, the current owner seems to have gone out of his way to destroy the club since he was left holding baby back in 2008, when the RFL decided it wasn't OK to have one guy in control of 2 clubs. Their narrow mindedness coupled with his inability to do anything other than throw good money after bad has led to the one time challenge cup finalists and 2nd placed SL club playing at a wedding venue next year.

There's a very telling line in the book I've mentioned above.
I am an oil trader and successful at that but, but marketing, finance, business management, human resources etc are not my strengths
....same bloke has "invested" close to 20 million pounds, blindly making mistake after mistake, employing gimp after gimp and the result is less than 800 fans and tin-pot sponsors.

I'd actually give writing the book you requested a pop if I wasn't scared it would that depressing I'd top myself!

How are the two promotion spots determined?? Playoffs or just top 2 on the table?
"At the end of the regular season 1st will play 2nd with the winner promoted to the Championship as champions. The loser of that match will join the teams which finished 3rd, 4th and 5th in a play-offs series as follows: loser of the promotion decider v 5th, and 3rd v 4th. The winners of those semi-finals will contest a play-off final to determine the second promotion place."

Thanks Homer! That's great, so as it stands now, in theory, there are still 7 teams that still have a chance to win promotion.

Tbh i honest i think that is a terrible idea by the rfl for league one. Whats the point in putting all of the hard work in to finish first then potentially miss out on promotion with a bad run of injuries at the wrong time. It also takes some of the importanve out of finishing on top when it should be the most important acheivement. Should just be simple like the football league system, first place automatic promotion amd champions, then 2nd to 5th into playoffs. Really making simple things like this complicated and for the worst is something that irritates me about the rfl.

Until EH explained the actual promotion set up I was also under the impression that the team finishing top were automatically promoted. I agree about making things more complicated than is necessary.

Anyone know what the actual standard is? South Wales need to find a new home that's not in the middle of nowhere and going somewhere we don't need to upgrade or change later to meet champ standard would be nice.

Poor leigh beaten again today. There chances of finishing anything higher than 5th are very slim if not zero
