To be fair to Gallop, the CEOs job is to implement the decisions of the board - which he may or may not agree with personally. He has possibly done a good job at that, considering they have kept him employed for so long.
None of us know what Gallop would do/have done if he had carte blanche. It isn't just a matter of "hiding behind".

As a snr manager have worked in orgs with a CEO who considered their job was to just implement decisions of the board, I have also worked in ones with CEOS who are great leaders, visionaries and capable of controlling the board to keep them focussed on strategic top end thinking and put together a great management team that operationalises a strategic plan that is developed by the board, management and CEO. I can tell you very easily which orgs are by far the most succesful..

For what it's worth, I voted for WA unreservedly and the Central Coast marginally but feel that there should be one current Sydney team relegated/relocated with Adelaide included, logically Sharks.

A second inner-Brisbane option would have appealed more than Ipswich but wouldn't have got my vote. South Australia should not be ignored and at risk of raising the ire of the pro-Sydney lobby there are just too many teams concentrated there.

Yet you voted for the Bears?

CCBears aren't Sydney but I guess that even stressing that for over 2 years is still too complicated for you to understand. Therefore cue your regular rant, while playing no part in helping qld bids out getting their team. Keyboard warriors away!

If you have cared to pay closer attention to other's opinions, most of us on here pushing for the QLD bid are saying there are to many teams in New South Wales...not Sydney. So it's not all that complicated for us..maybe you are the one struggling to recognise the difference.

As for calling others who care to disagree with you, keyboard warriors....doesn't that say more about you than us.

Considering I'm personally involved with the ccbears bid whilst all you guys sit on your computers talking up Ipswich but not actually physically helping them out then yes, you are keyboard warriors. Plus the initial arguement was too many Sydney teams, now it's NSW teams next it'll be teams that have red.. You guys never stop. First to post an opinion, last to actually do something about it.

Like I said if you guys are so passionate about the Ipswich bid then start up membership drives from tivoli to raceview, newtown to goodna. Because I'm yet to meet a local with as much passion for the bid or commitment as a cc resident towards the bears bid.

You guys come up with elaborate plans, with areas on a map and the same used arguement that nsw has too many teams. It also has the biggest state population and the cc alone is bigger than Ipswich, whilst the north shore/cc is bigger than south Brisbane or western corridor. The stadium was purposely built for this team and with MORE major sponsors being announced soon, I'm sure it'll get your panties in a twist.

And if by most of us, you mean the same 5/6 people going on and on about Ipswich Jets? Judging by the poll it isn't enough people to justify your opinions anyways. Randoms are even picking cc and wa. It's a lost arguement so maybe start a new one? I see dgsfan started one about the bloody seats at bluetongue lol. What's next? The grass is too long therefore the NRL can't sustain the ccbears and pay for jims mowing at the same time? Please...

I wonder if the NRL offered any club $1million to take 4 games to Adelaide, Wellington, Darwin or PNG if any clubs would bite?

You possibly think that because my opinion is contrary to yours that I have a personal vendetta towards yourself and the team you support.
I do acknowledge your efforts with the Bears but we have a difference of opinion, just as you do.

I openly admit that I don't have the emotional investment into Qld as you do the Bears, but sometimes passion can cloud your judgement.
I'm only talking about what I think is more progressive for the game in general, that's just "My Opinion" I own it..it's called personal choice.

The poll says different.

What poll are you looking at? The most popular choice and the only choice near 100 voters is WA and CC.

Strange comment to make, just because i haven't resorted to allowing someone else's opinion to piss me off.
In truth it's my job to deal with people who can't control their own behaviour and don't allow other's to have differing opinions without sulking.
Maybe when you get a little older you will understand.

I'd have a look at that poll again if I were you... 59% to 36%... that's such a massive difference. What about that 80% figure? Lies I assume. Not to mention the poll is stacked. 3 options including CC, 3 options involving Reds, but only 2 each for Ipswich and CQ?

Espeically the bolded part. Sounds like a pissed off female to me. Never heard a guy say something along those lines before.

It's all good BDGS...if someone hassles my son or kicks my dog my anger is probably worse than most, I just save getting pissed off for the serious sh*t in life.
