That's probably the only way they could have reached this mythical 80% bears fans harp on about.

Considering I'm personally involved with the ccbears bid whilst all you guys sit on your computers talking up Ipswich but not actually physically helping them out then yes, you are keyboard warriors. Plus the initial arguement was too many Sydney teams, now it's NSW teams next it'll be teams that have red.. You guys never stop. First to post an opinion, last to actually do something about it.

Like I said if you guys are so passionate about the Ipswich bid then start up membership drives from tivoli to raceview, newtown to goodna. Because I'm yet to meet a local with as much passion for the bid or commitment as a cc resident towards the bears bid.

You guys come up with elaborate plans, with areas on a map and the same used arguement that nsw has too many teams. It also has the biggest state population and the cc alone is bigger than Ipswich, whilst the north shore/cc is bigger than south Brisbane or western corridor. The stadium was purposely built for this team and with MORE major sponsors being announced soon, I'm sure it'll get your panties in a twist.

And if by most of us, you mean the same 5/6 people going on and on about Ipswich Jets? Judging by the poll it isn't enough people to justify your opinions anyways. Randoms are even picking cc and wa. It's a lost arguement so maybe start a new one? I see dgsfan started one about the bloody seats at bluetongue lol. What's next? The grass is too long therefore the NRL can't sustain the ccbears and pay for jims mowing at the same time? Please...

I have no intention of starting a membership drive for the Jets or anything else other than state my opinion. Which is that there are too many teams in Sydney/NSW and not enough in QLD.
Therefore the IC should give consideration to any QLD bid before any NSW one.

That, and perhaps a few extra dodgy user names...

That's probably the only way they could have reached this mythical 80% bears fans harp on about.

You 2 should start up the official "Ipswich Jets for the NRL" club.. serve mini sandwiches in the shape of planes and enjoy a beer with Ribot and Canavan @ Jet's Leagues club..

60 foundation members, 4900 financial members, 6 major sponsors and over 40 local business sponsors, community and political backing and million of dollars later.. it's very hard to hear or read what you guys say or type.

But i'm sure it will all magically happen for the Jets. I mean there's ALREADY 5 known financial members for the future.. Talons, dgsfan, Goddo, bobmar.. wait thats actually 4.. Still i'm SURE you guys will put your money where your mouth/fingers are and financially support a bid that obviously means the world to you guys..... after that the Jet's will have to pull another 4996 members out of thin air, not to mention ANY sponsors or at least a business plan.

Now suddenly I find the funny side of a non existent number..

They did.. the Gold Coast Titans last time and they're head above water but far from secure.

Then your opinion is obviously built on something you aren't really devoted too or passionate about. Just like what the entire Ipswich Jet's bid is built on. Because I've been saying from day one that if the NRL and Gallop have expressed interest in the WAReds & CCBears selling memberships as quick as possible, then for the NRL to openly approve merchandise being sold by the CCBears which openly suggest we want to be in the NRL (their product) and then to ALWAYS mention the CCBears and the WAReds when expansion is brought up.

Thats before we get into how many CCBears fans (real locals, real people not business people behind the bid) have come up to the NRL's head people and Gallop pleading to give the CCBears a chance. That's before we talk about the monthly NRL appearances by Florimo & Fairleigh (requested by the NRL themselves) to keep the NRL up to date with the CCBEARS bid progression.

Take that for all it's worth. But with more sponsors coming on board very soon.. with 5000 financial members at arms reach.. with more events in the community as we approach the NRL season..

If the NRL thought "there are too many NSW teams" they would have NEVER wasted our time and we would never had wasted ours either.. But thats not the case and they, the community, the corporate sectors, the political scene and sponsors have embraced us openly. Take that for what it is not for what you want it to be

I'd have a look at that poll again if I were you... 59% to 36%... that's such a massive difference. What about that 80% figure? Lies I assume. Not to mention the poll is stacked. 3 options including CC, 3 options involving Reds, but only 2 each for Ipswich and CQ?

Yep it should have been each bid option seperately and you could vote for 2 bids rather than writing the combinations down.

You really do feel threatened about the CC Bears submission being rejected don't you...it shows up clearly in all your snide little remarks.

Meanwhile I just sit back with my hands behind my head, feet up on the computer desk having a chuckle.

No not at all. Like I've said heaps already, I know both these areas cc/ns and ippy/south bris very well. I've know indepth about the CCBears bid and I've got a comprehensive understanding of the Jets bid
Code:
so far. Whilst both areas undoubtably deserve a franchise, the work and the money that's been put into the Central Coast Bears bid over a sustained period of time, has prepared the bi
Code:
d and the team-in-waiting ample opportunity to have all the basis covered. Threat is definitely not the word I'd use, bemused? Maybe that would be a more correct term.

It's evident that Ipswich is on the rise but it still won't have the necessary facilities or resources in time for submissions. It's also evident that through a lack of corporate support jumping at the opportunity to partner with a Jets bid, that their isn't the confidence in either the bid or the area it represents. WAReds, CCBears and CQ all secured major sponsors well before the end of 2010. Even PNG had Coca-Cola willing to support their bid at one stage in the year.

Everyone keeps saying how important it is to expand the game. Not Ipswich nor Central Coast or CQ really expand our game per se. WA does. 2nd NZ would. Adelaide would. So then for the remaining contenders it comes down to how much the communities want that NRL license. TV rights are important but building on a generation of supporters who will fill up a stadium and be willing to throw their coin at their team is equally important. The Central Coast and Bears have fought tooth and nail for this. The NRL can't sustain teams on tv money alone. Each team must be held responsible for looking after their own business and meeting a status quo put up by the NRL in regards to sustainability, resources, sponsors, members and crowds.

I'm confident that the CCBears can achieve their goals. The support is resounding and typical of diehard rl supporters who just want a go.

Do you know how the Jets bid is going, do you? You've got behind he scenes access? My bet it there will be plenty of companies willing to sponsor a second Brisbane team. With the TV ratings argument it's clear that the Jets have it 1 up on the bears, if you can't see that than you're obviously blinded by red and black glasses. If you think a second Brisbane team won't average 16,000 (what cc will probably average) you're dreaming.

I support the Bulldogs and no one else. From what I've heard there are a lot of people in Brisbane who hate the Broncos so I think there would be plenty.

seems strange that there isn't a single one on here? Even WA with its limited fan base has 4 or 5 of us on here!

Maybe because both the Reds and Bears are pre-existing clubs.

I would have thought someone living in Brisbane and refusing to support the Bronocs (as there claims to be tens of thousands of them) would be jumping up and down for joy at the prospect of supporting a new Brisbane team, I am failing to feel any passionate support, plenty of logical support from people who think another Q'land team is better than another NSW team, but no one who seems overjoyed at the prospect of getting a new team to follow?

Why would they need 5000 members?
