On nearlynrl doesn't everyone have to pay $50 to actually enter the private comp? As I don't remember seeing any option to join a private comp.

Nearlynrl was fun though, recruiting process is a lot trickier as you have to decide how much you value a player.

Yes, a private comp =$50. I for one dont mind throwing in a couple of bucks, afterall IMO the recruiting process is the difference between a good fantasy comp and a great fantasy comp. I am also happy to go with the majority, if the majority say eg. fox or virtual nrl, then so be it. Afterall it would be great to start a tradition to have a number of LU members playing in a fantasy comp each year.

Ideally we'd have a comp were the recruiting/bidding process is on a fri night sat arvo. Also it does make the process much more enoyable if one player can only play for one side, not each team if selected.

Im with you there, we could even have one comp on nearly nrl, pay a few $ each, and the others on fox/tele/courier mail etc fotr those who dont ??

What ya think

see what is drawing me to nearly nrl is the chance of having different players in each team ..... unlike the fox/cm/dt fantasy comps where most teams prob end up with same halves or backs etc

The way to win is to spot new talents before they it the big time, when they're cheap, and when their value sky rockets you cash i for your Nathan Hindmarsh's who make 50 tackles every game.

The other way, especially with NRL.com, to get the players who play in multiple positions. Etc, centre's moving into the second row. Second rower's usually rack up the most points, so if you can fit them into the backline you're going to get lots of points.

If you guys played the DT RWC then that is basically the same as the nrl with a few different ways to score.

Soward was a gun in the comp I didn't notice it until it was too expensive to get him. Goal kickers weren't that great for the backs it was more the centres that could tackle or as mentioned if you could find a second row that played in the centre.
