Mateo can go. We've all been waiting far to long for him to perform to a consistantly high standard.
On the other hand, I've said it before and will say it again. I'd keep Inu ahead of Reddy anyday, even if he cost us a bit more. I know Reddy still has a year to run, but still............
I don't see Reddy as any better than our other back up - Jono Wright.

Suity

Sometimes it's a question of value for money.

Inu is currently on about $275k. If the Warriors are offering him the same again (or higher apparently) then one has to wonder if the cost is worth it.

Don't get me wrong, Inu is an unbelievable winger, has fantastic footwork when he plays in the centers, and is (imo) the best player in the NRL under the high ball.

But $300k for a winger?

I'll take Reddy at $140-160k thanks - particularly when we've got Tahu on $300k (next year) in the centers too.

I know people say he's old and injury prone, but damn he'd look good in the Blue and Gold. Tough, great work rate and aggressive - what's not to love?

reminds me of when we signed morrison from nth qld too he was on the scrap heap so to speak and we got a good 2 years out of him thats for sure

If we have to lose Feleti and Inu to keep KK, Johno Wright, Horo and Ant Mitchell, I will cop that no worries.

If we lose cayless Mateo inu and grothe you'd want to be picking up
a thurston or smith class player and another quality player to boot.

Mateo at his best would be value at 400k. Bit he wouldn't cost us that anyway. That may be what the warriors offered, pre the storm bargain sale. It's not what we'd have to pay him.

Watched a tape of the 68-22 Broncos game 2007 and they were all gonna be the next big thing - mateo the next SBW , Hayne and Inu the new wave.
The reality hasn't quite matched the potential , except in Hayne's case , and all he can do is whinge about how little money he gets for playing for oz.
I love to watch both Mateo and Inu at their best - unfortunately their best has been missing far too much over the last 2 seasons. (Injury notwithstanding)
If it can be done - go for Cronk, Tolman already all but signed with Dogs

Now seriously this loss will send MASSIVE changes to our offloading style of play come season 2011

Cayless, Inu and Mateo are our three most noted offloaders, and without them I think 2011 may be a rebuilding/restructuring year.

I hope I'm wrong and Ossy and DA have some recruitment plans and we aren't left without any signings this year, not to mention Grothe, KK and Horo still yet to be re signed.
