Can some of you people not remember the last truly golden era of Rugby League through the late 80's and most of the 90's when crowds were up and the league was scattered with brilliant players...?? because in those days, swapping players around in different positions to get the balance of the team right was always done - and the players (and coaches) were not so robotic and rigid and structured back then...
So my suggestion about switching Ben Roberts around comes of the back of that type of thinking and past successes in RL with such positional switches. Are you seriously telling me you aren't aware of; or don't remember of the days when players of the calibre of Laurie Daley, Brad Fittler and even Brett Kenny were swapped into the centres from 5/8 - and sometimes to lock??? Brett Kenny finished his days at Lock because he had lost some etc, but could still help the team by playing in a different position!!??
I'm not just talking at SOO level either. Although Daley and Fittler did swap around a lot in SOO, they also did so at club level as well for the benefit of the overall team structure....so if it was good enough for players of their calibre, it is sure as hell good enough for Benny Freakin' Roberts ok!!!! Especially if: (a) he is not performing on a consistent basis at 5/8 - which he is not, and (b) if there is someone better suited to taking control of the team (along with Sandow) in the halves - namely Jarryd Hayne
