The Fifita comments were not directly proportional to the termination - the comments were made AFTER the deal fell through.

I am reliably told the Castle/Desmond relationship is strained at best.

From what I've heard Fifita's actual contract was much more than the $850,000 that's been reported, and something closer to the $1M mark. This contract would have had them in deep shit with the salary cap.

Did you hear the same thing? It makes sense that that happened, contract was terminated and then Fifita made those comments.

Yeah,

Think it was the Telegraph that actually quoted a post of Tim's once, word for word and attributed it to "Poster Timmah from an online forum" or something along those lines.

A few other times, it's been noted by others here that a rumour or other posts have been lifted from here, almost word for word in some instances.
