Just watched the Jones interview. Something doesn't seem right to me.
Why is a Murdoch journalist on MurTel going into bat for Andrew Fifita?

funny, I dont see him as loose at all. I find the politically correct, judgemental, so called "progressive" aspect of our society , is what is at fault here.
Hes like a big loyal dog that wont win over many PC people with his emotional & extroverted "big" personality.
But hes the guy I want on my side, not against me.

3 great wins for Right Wingism this week Ads. Doggies are back, Sharks will get netted Gold Coast style in Northern NSW ASAP & apparently the lock out laws are to be removed.
Lefties in tears.

WTF does the Fifita situation have to do with politics? Righties, lefties.. FMF. Politically, I'm about as left as DttC, Ads and many others are right, but we all agree that supporting a mate (especially when handled appropriately, as Fifita has done) is a good thing. If anything, the situation is an indictment of the ultra-conservative, narrow-minded wowserism permeating Australian society, including the NRL administration.

I'd also like to add to the NRL players and officials commenting on Fifita's supporting his friend Loveridge as if he has a 'serious off-field issue' i.e. Greenberg, Meninga, Smith, Thaiday, Thurston, et al.. shut your hypocritical, judgmental yaps. I suppose some of the players think they're helping, but.. Brah, do you even brain??

I always said it'd be cold day in hell before I finally agreed with Alan Jones. On anything. I only hope Lucifer kept a spare pair of thermals in his 'just-in-case' draw.

Probably will leave and that will end our chance to win next year.

Also free up a shit load of cash to retain those that need to be kept. Albeit at the expense of a real prop.

At the same time massively reduce the risk of all the things I mentioned in post 1.

Feefs is a bit loose and a flight risk anyway. He was a bees from going to the dogs only a couple years ago.

Reckon we did well to get the best out of him when it mattered to net a premiership. Hope he stays, but reckon it's a bonus if he does.

Now its up to Flanno to do his thang, I'd say. hes got the best forward in the game, getting ready to leave.

Right on cue.....

PREMIERSHIP-winning Cronulla coach Shane Flanagan has hit out at the NRL for “hanging Andrew Fifita out to dry,” declaring support from the Sharks would keep the hulking prop from walking away from the game.

The NRL integrity unit continues to investigate Fifita since The Daily Telegraph revealed his support for one-punch killer Kieran Loveridge six weeks ago.

The governing body, which last week banned Fifita from Australia’s Four Nations tour, said it was still waiting on additional information from police on the matter.

But an irate Flanagan said the uncertainty that lingered over Fifita was unfair and had affected his mental health.

“They have hung him out to dry for a long period of time,” Flanagan said. “The police had information, where is it, mate? Where is it?

“What has he done wrong? Can they just come out and tell me so we can deal with it. The police have spoken to Andrew about his association with Loveridge — the police aren’t doing anything about it. What’s the NRL doing? Why are they causing all this trouble for him?

“If they’ve got something then come out and tell us what they’ve got.

“If not, come out and say we’re satisfied with Andrew’s explanation and we wish him well. Away you go, son. Sorry. They won’t say that word sorry.”

Pressed on whether the NRL should apologise, Flanagan said he simply wanted an end to the saga.

“I want to find out what Andrew has done wrong, what he is accused of,” Flanagan said.

“No-one has ever told us, bar supporting a bloke and he has apologised for that. I don’t know what else he has done. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sp...an/news-story/3decfdde7b5cb5329ba1509dadfd495

Actually if you are progressive you might side with Fifita in that supporting a convicted criminal and trying to help them change and make their way healthily back into society is a positive. However painting Fifita's situation as left vs right with broad political strokes is a waste of time.
